The Hairy Bikers have their sights set on creating a northern festive feast for their families. Dave and Si both feel it has been far too long since their families have been together around one table, so they hatch a plan. The Bikers find a local base to cook and host the party, and then ride the Pennines from top to bottom to be inspired by the best food artisans and producers around. They then create a Christmas dinner using the ingredients they have found.
The Hairy Bikers explore a region close to Si’s heart: Tyne & Wear and its city of Newcastle. They cook a fantastic roast, a jackfruit curry and the ultimate surf and turf.
The Hairy Bikers are visiting the stunning Peak District, where they cook a traditional breakfast, some spicy patties and a picnic made of scotch eggs, custard tarts and some sweet cookies.
The Hairy Bikers are in Northumberland, where they feast on seafood from the North Sea and lamb from the surrounding hills, and discover the ultimate fish and chips.
The Hairy Bikers are in West Yorkshire, cooking a Full English Shakshuka with some blueberry muffins, some curried faggots with masala potato and dhal as well as curried crab cakes.
On the fourth leg of their tour of northern England, Si and Dave are riding through the spectacular North York Moors National Park, discovering the wonderful local produce the moors provide.
The Hairy Bikers are exploring an area close to Dave’s heart – Cumbria and the Lake District. They cook a fantastic Cumbrian breakfast, a summer vegetable strudel and a Thai feast.
The hairy bikers are on the Yorkshire coast cooking moules mariniere with triple cooked chips, a langoustine salad and a beer and miso chicken with grilled aubergine.
