It's Leafs vs. Habs in Round 1 - as the NHL's oldest rivals face off in the playoffs for the first time in 42 years. The 1st place Toronto Maple Leafs enter the post-season with healthy line-up, but a very scary injury to Captain John Tavares puts a new lens on things. Wendel Clark visits Mike Foligno in Sudbury. The Leafs trade blows with the Canadiens in an intense 7-game series.
With the playoffs just around the corner, Zach Bogosian sustains a shoulder injury, and Zach Hyman hurts his knee. Nick Foligno says goodbye to his family in Columbus, and hello to his new teammates in Toronto. As the Leafs chase the top seed in the North, Matthews chases the NHL's goal-scoring title. Nylander & friends get some R&R. The secret club in the Maple Leafs locker room is revealed!
As Covid ravages the North Division schedule, the Leafs double down their efforts to stay safe. Galchenyuk joins the team. Defense partners Muzzin and Holl do some off-ice bonding. While Freddie Andersen struggles , Jack Campbell chases down NHL history. Dubas & Co. prep for the trade deadline, which brings some exciting new pieces for the final stretch.
As they inch towards the halfway point of the season, Andersen, Campbell, Simmonds, Muzzin, and Matthews manage various injuries. Tavares works on his game, Mikheyev wants to up his ice-time, and Vesey looks to stabilize his place in the line-up. Meanwhile, Antonio the barber keeps the Leafs looking fresh inside the Covid bubble, and we visit with Kyle Dubas and his family.
