Unwilling to give up, Shun De decides to turn into the wind so that she can continue to kill all the beings in the world. Yun He uses her body as a container to trap Shun De's evil aura, and she decides to perish with her by jumping into the lava. Meanwhile, Luo Luo protects Kong Ming from Cheng Yu when the latter tries to kill Kong Ming.
Chang Yi is frozen in the Ice Seal as Shun De prepares to go to war with the Northern Abyss. The Heavenly King restores the Azure Heart Lamp, but the Sky Fire is needed to light it up. There's only one person who is capable of doing it as it comes with a sacrifice.
Chang Yi and Yun He announce to be married in three days. The Northern Abyss is still preparing for Shun De's attack, so the wedding is kept simple. However, Luo Luo finds Kong Ming's gloominess baffling. Unknown to everyone, the Ice Seal within Chang Yi will erupt at midnight on his wedding day.
Knowing that Ning Xi Yu is the only one who can make Immortal Master come to his senses, Yun He brings him into her dream to see his master. Immortal Master indeed ends up sacrificing himself, and Zhuyan is defeated, but a new evil threat is born soon after. Yun He makes a bold request to Chang Yi when she finds out he has very little time left to live.
After leaving the Northern Abyss, Lin Hao Qing decides to go to Mount Lutai to get rid of Zhuyan. Yun He finally wakes up, and she asks Chang Yi to take her somewhere high up to see the whole of the Northern Abyss. As they admire the scenery, they start to confess their true feelings to each other.
After finding out Ji's whereabouts, Hao Qing goes to take her home. But Ji is reluctant to leave and is curious about the merman that gives her strange feelings. When the Northern Abyss is under Fairy Shun De's attack, Ji goes to stop the calamity only to learn of her past.
The Heavenly King finds information on the mysterious Mount Wuliang. With Li Shu's help, they manage to enter the mountain, and the Master of Four Direction's primordial spirit appears to reveal the truth behind the battle from 1,000 years ago. To end the chaos, Zhu Yan's last piece of soul must be sealed in the Azure Heart Lamp. But will the damaged lamp be fixed in time?
Ji goes to the Northern Abyss to break Lu Jin Yan out of prison, but they get captured by Chang Yi. Chang Yi finds her suspicious as her words and actions remind him of Yun He. Lin Hao Qing pretends to pledge allegiance to Fairy Shun De again for the sake of saving Wanhua Valley. Meanwhile, Immortal Master continues actioning his plan discreetly in the background.
Elder Dong Lian and his team are ambushed and captured by Zhu Ling while looking for Thistle herbs. WIth no choice, Hao Qing tells Ji to head to the south alone to find his old acquaintances who will look after her for him. After leaving Wanhua Valley, Ji travels to the Human Realm and encounters Luo Luo there.
Zhu Ling helps Fairy Shun De to capture the escaped Spirit Masters despite Cheng Yu's objection. Desperate Cheng Yu writes a letter to Kong Ming to tell him of the situation. Chang Yi keeps himself busy to stop himself from thinking about Yun He. Meanwhile, Hao Qing raises a Nine-Tailed Fox named Ji.
Fairy Shun De is locked up in Immortal Master's Mansion, and Yun He is dead. The world seems to come to a temporary peace, so the young Heavenly King sets out in search of a mysterious mountain that is said to have increased Ning Qing's powers. Just then, Lin Hao Qing brings home a little Nine-Tailed Fox back to Wanhua Valley.
Ji Yun He appears as war is about to break out and convinces Wanhua Valley to defect to the Northern Abyss. Zhu Ling triggers the Frost Mark on all the spirit masters' bodies in retaliation, so Yun He sacrifices herself to save them all. With Yun He gone, Chang Yi deeply regrets not being honest with his feelings before she died. After hearing about Yun He's death, the Heavenly King finally takes action against Fairy Shun De.
Heavenly King uses Immortal Token left by his father to block the lightning strike as a last resort to save San Yue and Li Shu. The token shatters to pieces and reveals a secret map. On the other hand, Yun He and Hao Qing attempt to run away, but they run into Fox King and his clan during the escape.
In a mission to capture Spirit Masters, Master Qing captures Hao Qing instead. Littlle do they know that he let himself get caught on purpose to meet Yun He. In the Frost Pavilion, Yun He and Hao Qing comes up with their one last plan to escape.
With Wanhua Valley's army attacking them, Chang Yi's ambush and formation are carried out successfully. However, Qi Feng's defiance gives Lin Hao Qing a chance to break the formation. To strike a deal for a negotiation, Lin Hao Qing asks Chang Yi to hand over Yun He.
The Frost Mark starts to take effect on the spirit masters in Wanhua Valley. To advance his plan against Immortal Master, Lin Hao Qing offers to join hands with Fairy Shun De and lead Wanhua Valley to attack the Northern Abyss. While she agrees, she also threatens to kill Yun He. San Yue sets off to Mount Daiyu to find the Nectar Lingzhi mushroom to prolong Yun He's life.
Chang Yi invites Kong Ming to assess Yun He's condition, only to find out she has about a month to live. Ru Ling finds a painting in Immortal Master's secret chamber, and the lady in the painting resembles her. She's devastated to learn she has been someone else's substitute all along.
Qing Yao proposes that Chang Yi becomes the Master of the Northern Abyss which Chang Yi agrees to after some hesitation. However, he runs off in the middle of the coronation ceremony after sensing trouble with Yun He, bringing shame to the Northern Abyss and the Fox Clan.
Yun He is now locked up on Huxin Island. Seeking an explanation, Chang Yi torments Yun He by making her lose her freedom. However, out of love, Yun He cannot bear to tell him the truth. To make things worse, their misunderstanding deepens when Yun He tries to escape.
Chang Yi confines Yun He on Huxin Island, but his actions confuse everyone as he does not torture her like he vowed to. Qing Yao's maid sees Yun He use Qing Shu's red Fox Fire, which makes Qing Yao and Qi Feng suspect that Yun He harmed their aunt. Lin Hao Qing tries to steal the antidote from Immortal Master and ends up discovering his secret chamber.
