Yosef's secret is revealed, and he seeks Faigie's forgiveness. The return of Rabbi Nathan continues to make waves among the women of the community, and while Faigie tries to recover from the news, she receive a surprising matchmaking proposal.
Shalom visits Faigie and tells her where Nathan stays. Mina arrives for Shabbat dinner at Nathan's house with a surprising confession. at Libby's engagement party, Nathan comes back and surprises everyone with some interesting news.
Mina spreads rumors and the rabbis meet to make a final decision on whether Nathan can continue to advise women. Faigie is asked about the nature of her relationship with Nathan and after she catches Frankel and his friends planning acts of violence, she is injured herself. Nathan reacts to her injury unexpectedly.
Nathan forbids his followers to respond to the escalating violence outside his home, but Faigie violates the ban and pays for it. Yocheved asks Faigie a dangerous request, which changes the fate of the family. A relative arrive the community and evokes an old storm, and secrets from the past.
Faigie angrily ends a matchmaking meeting, and confronts her mother Reizi. Yocheved, the Rabanit, is disturbed by the rising violence outside their home and warns Nathan that he is exceeding his authority. Gitti and Yitzhak meet with Rabbi Nathan, who helps them in an unexpected way.
Nathan returns to advise women and suffers harsh criticism from his family. Faigie refuses to go to a matchmaking meeting and infuriates Reizi. Shayna's groom has not yet seen the scar on her face and Faigie is standing next to her during the difficult hour.
Gitti goes on a hunger strike until her husband Yitzhak will give her a divorce. Faigie does quite a few things to solve the problem and gets help from Nathan. Everyone asks Nathan to decide who will be the next Rebbe of the community.
Faigie, an 18-year-old ultra-Orthodox girl, is in great distress. Nathan, the grate Rebbe's son takes her under his wing and promises to teach her to choose the life. After the Rebbe's death, Nathan needs to decide who will inherit his place.
