Filipino food and culture is alive in Blacktown and Rooty Hill. With guests Vonne Patiag and Christine Milo, Arka is treated to a Filipino manicure, a sweet Halo-Halo and some street food from the smoky grill.
Actor and writer Nisrine Amine shows Arka around the homely Lebanese strip of Guildford, the suburb where she grew up. They go in search of fresh crispy falafels, and find comfort in hand-made Lebanese sweets.
Arka and writer/director Matias Bolla snack on empanadas and get invited to a lively Chilean asado (BBQ) out the back of a third generation Chilean butcher in Fairfield.
