2023In season 2, the recruits are faced with the harsh reality of winter warfare training on the mountains of New Zealand. They face the ice breaker drill where they are submerged in a frozen lake to find their body temperature plummeting to near hypothermic levels. They attempt a treacherous ravine crossing atop a 4700 ft snowcapped mountain peak as well as an emergency escape out of a helicopter submerged deep in icy waters.

The recruits are captured and taken into their final stage of selection: 12 hours of military-grade interrogation; resistance and the will to survive are key, and only the strongest recruits pass the course.
The recruits are taken to a remote mountain range where they are tasked with pulling sleds through two miles of dangerous terrain, then later escaping invasion from enemy hunters, before they take on their last 24 hours of selection.
