We head to Roscommon where we meet Dublin natives Danielle and Paul Keane who have come to the realisation that in order to find a home for their family of 5, they will have to look beyond their capital county. Maggie and Kieran are on the lookout for detached properties with outside space so that the family can work towards becoming self sufficient.
Maggie and Kieran focus their search in the midlands of Ireland where 35-year-old school teacher Ann, is looking for a home close to her parents in Birr, Co Offaly. Ann is training as a sound therapist and would like a home that gives her the potential to work from home once she has qualified.
Maggie and Kieran meet couple Avril and Robert along with their daughter Abby, who made an agreement when they first met, that one day they would move close to Avril's home in County Cork. The couple are looking for a countryside location, not too far from Avril's family in Glanmire. They want a home where they can grow as a family.
We head to the South East of Ireland as Maggie and Kieran meet 35 year old primary school teacher Bernadette from Wexford. Having lived abroad for several years, Bernadette is now living back home with her parents and is searching for a place she can call her own. Coming from a very hands on family, Bernadette is open to properties that need work.
Maggie and Kieran head to the West of Ireland on their hunt for bargain bungalows for house hunters Claire and Mark. Claire, who has MS and is looking for a single storey house, a space to practice yoga and would love a well or stream. Our search brings to locations within commutable distance for Mark's work as a Quantity Surveyor in Ennis.
We meet school teacher Johnathan and childcare manager Kamila who recently moved back home to Ireland with their young daughter. Currently renting in Tipperary, Johnathan wants his daughter to enjoy the same carefree rural country living he had growing up.
Episode 2 brings Maggie and Kieran to Kingdom of Kerry where we meet Megan, a 25 year old, first time buyer from Ballyduff. She's been desperately looking for a property since January 2022 but has had no luck. Megan just wants somewhere to call her own within a commute to her job in Tralee with some outside space for her dog, Luna.
Maggie and Kieran head to Cork to help South African natives Erin and Louis, who have fallen in love with Ireland to find a place that they can call their own. They love West Cork but are open minded to anywhere commutable to Cork City for work. Laura is an avid gardener and Louis has always wanted his very own vegetable patch.
