Happy Traveller Season 10 Full Episode Guide
Our travelers depart from Walvis Bay, the country's largest port where they board a catamaran for sailing on the Atlantic Ocean. They see shellfish farms, seals and pelicans, and the distinctive lighthouse at Pelican Point. Admire the endless flamingos in the Walvis Bay lagoon and get into a 4x4 for an epic ride on the dunes of the famous Sandwich Harbour, part of the Skeleton Coast, an area where the towering 150m sand dunes meet the wild Atlantic Ocean. They then drive inland and in the desert stop at an isolated lonely village, Solitaire. Finally the most spectacular landscape of the country, Sossusvlei, where the giant red sand dunes combined with the dry yellow lake and petrified trees. They stay at one of the most special hotels they've stayed in the show's 10 years and see a sunset they'll remember for a long time, as well as the galaxy at night in the starry sky.
In the second part, they visit a traditional Himba village, one of the last nomadic tribes of the African continent. They see the traditional houses and learn about their clothing, special headdress and their daily life. Next, they go to the Damara region of Twyfelfontein to see the famous rock carvings of animals made by the indigenous people of the area thousands of years ago. They also see an impressive petrified forest of petrified trees that came to the area by rivers from Central Africa millions of years ago. The trek continues along the coast to the Atlantic Ocean, home to the vast Namib Desert, from which the country takes its name. They explore the world-famous Skeleton Coast, where they see a huge colony of seals. This episode ends at one of the many shipwrecks that can be seen on the country's endless coastline.
Happy Traveler embarks on an impressive roadtrip, to Namibia in South Africa. They take a plane first to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and then to Namibia's capital and largest city, Windhoek. They explore the city, seeing the sights and learning the history of the country. They complete the "Windhoek Marathon" and go to a local but non-touristy market, where they see common foods of the region and taste meat from a classic African "meat bar". They then trek north to visit Namibia's most popular safari National Park, Etosha, where they see wild animals in their natural habitat. One of the highlights of the trip is when they are in front of a large herd of elephants, swimming, playing and taking…sand baths before the amazed eyes of our travelers.
Our travelers, in this episode, start from Selinounda to see the ruins of another historic city of Great Greece, but also one of the best preserved ancient Greek temples. They continue to exit to the north of the island, passing through Segesta, where there is an archaeological park with the Acropolis, the Ancient Theater and one of the most beautiful Doric temples in the world. The next stop is in the city of Trapani with the salt pans, which are still in operation today with a large production of salt and the Salt Museum. From there they take the cable car to go up to the town of Erice which is built on top of the mountain of the same name. Next is Palermo, the largest city in Sicily with its picturesque historic center, exquisite architecture, temples-works of art and bustling markets with local products. Finally, they climb the famous Pellegrino mountain with the church of Agia Rosalia while also making a stop at the picturesque seaside town of Cefalu.
They start from Syracuse, the most important city of Greater Greece and home of the famous Archimedes. Then they go to the archeological site with the ancient theater, the famous cave called "Ear of Dionysus" and the place where Archimedes is said to have been buried after his death. Next stop, the city of Enna, built on top of a mountain. A historic city that is also called the navel of Sicily and is the same distance from the 3 coasts of the island. There they see the impressive fortress and the iconic rock on which is said to have once been a temple of the goddess Demeter. The journey continues to Akraganta and the so-called Valley of the Temples, where one of the most well-preserved ancient Greek temples in the world is preserved. They admire the immense beauty of the landscape, learning the history of the place and taking a small trip back in time. A journey to an area where the Greek spirit flourished and flourished 2,500 thousand years ago.
Happy Traveler in Sicily. Sea, sun and history become one on this island with Mediterranean beauty, impressive landscapes, enchanting beaches, special gastronomy and tourist resorts with thousands of visitors. In the first part, they start from Calabria and take a boat to Messina to visit the picturesque Taormina with its impressive ancient theater and Naxos, the ancient Greek colony. Next, they move towards the iconic Etna volcano. They take the cable car up to see the eerie landscape of the craters and enter a volcanic cave created by the passage of lava. In this episode, they also go to one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of the island, the Alcantara river and canyon with the rocks created by volcanic activity that look like sculptures. The trek continues further south to Katani and the ancient necropolis of Pantelika with its thousands of rock-hewn tombs.
Happy Traveler completes the exploration of Malaysia, with our travelers packing other unique experiences. The third part of the trip to the Southeast Asian country includes a special trek to its most historic and charming city, Melaka. They admire the red square, go boating on the river and walk in the historical center with the beautiful temples. They visit museums, see the incredible view from the winding tower and try local dishes. Finally, they talk to locals and learn first-hand the history of the city and why it is considered one of the most beautiful in this region of Asia. Malaysia leaves the best impressions on our travelers, who board the return plane, full of beautiful images and unique memories.
In Part II, they continue their exploration with even more rides, activities and tastes. They venture just outside the capital Kuala Lumpur to visit perhaps the country's most famous attraction, the Batu Caves. It is a complex of caves, functioning as a place of worship with successive Hindu temples - the most important outside India. The entrance is dominated by the gilded statue of the deity Murugan, 42.7 meters high, while to get inside the caves you have to climb 272 colorful steps. They continue their exploration through the jungle and arrive at Kanching Park with its stunning tiered waterfalls. On their way back to Kuala Lumpur, they go to the central market followed by a food tour of the neighbourhoods, where they try many strange but delicious local foods. At the end of the episode, they visit the majestic Buddhist temple Thean Hou Temple.
Happy Traveler's family is in Southeast Asia and embarks on an impressive exploration in Malaysia. In the first part, the journey starts from the country's capital, Kuala Lumpur. They start their walks in the city center and visit the historical buildings dating back to the time of the British occupation and walk along the "colonial walk" and the largest parks in the area. They climb the Petronas Twin Towers to see Malaysia's most famous building up close and enjoy the fantastic view. The evening walk holds pleasant surprises for them as they see the wonderful lighting of the Towers, the square and the fountain in front of them, but also a futuristic bridge with colorful lighting that constantly changes and impresses them. The next day, they go to the "greenest part of the city" with the Botanic Gardens - home to more than 10,000 species of plants - and the National Monument of Malaysia.
They visit the two most famous Greek-speaking villages of Calabria, Bova known in Greek as "Vouas" where they stroll through the narrow streets and admire the view from the top of the rock, where the old castle is located. This village, the land of Bois, is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. They then see the abandoned old Rahudi as well as some impressive natural sights such as the dragon rock. In the other famous Greek-speaking village of Calabria, Galliciano, they meet locals and feel as if they are in a village inside Greece. Finally, Eutychis and Electra also visit the historic Krotons, one of the ancient Greek cities of Great Greece that was famous for its tradition in sports as well as the sciences, since Pythagoras founded his school there. They see the most important sights of the city, what remains of the Temple of Hera at "Capo Colona" and one of the most impressive castles in southern Italy.
Happy Traveler continues the journey to the South of the neighboring country exploring other unique locations. Eutyches and Electra start from Taranto, the ancient Greek colony of the Spartans and leave behind the region of Apulia to enter further west, in the region of Vasilikata. They tour the emblematic Metara with its cave houses and churches inside caves. They see Gravina with its impressive aqueduct bridge and ancient necropolis. They go to the ghost village of Krakos but also to the coast to see the city of Metaponto and the ancient Greek temple of Hera. They stay on a traditional farm in the center of the fertile plain and try many local delicacies. They then drive west to Calabria where they admire the picturesque seaside town of Scylla, pass Rigio in Calabria and head towards the tip of "Italy's boot", to see some of the most famous Greek-speaking villages of Lower Italy.
Happy Traveler embarks on a road trip in the province of Apulia in Lower Italy. In Part 1 they leave by ship from Igoumenitsa for Bari and start in the southern part of our neighboring country where there is a strong element of Magna Grecia. They stroll through the picturesque old town of Bari and learn how the traditional ear-shaped pasta is made. They drive parallel to the coast and pass through the idyllic Polignano al Mare with its impressive caves. Next stop, Monopoli and the beautiful Alberobello with its characteristic domes. The first overnight stay is in Otranto, also known as "Hydrousa" with its picturesque port. The next day they descend to the tip of the "boot heel of Italy", and then pass through Gallipoli and Lecce, also called the Florence of the South. There they also visit the village of Kalimera, which is one of the Greek-speaking villages of the Salento peninsula, also known as Grecia Salentina.
In the previous episode, the Happy Traveler travelers embarked on an exciting trek to exotic Goa, South East India. Eutychis and Elektra continue their journey in this province of India, which combines Indian culture with Portuguese heritage and tropical climate and sets it apart from any other province in the entire country. In this episode, they get to know a little more about the history of the region by visiting the old capital of Goa which is full of impressive Portuguese churches. They then go to the 320m tiered waterfall in the jungle which they reach after an adventurous 4x4 drive and hike. Finally, they visit traditional villages, exotic beaches, spice plantations and traditional markets. A trip that leaves the best impressions with beaches, popular areas, chaotic markets, local delicacies and unique activities.
In Southeast India and specifically in exotic Goa that combines Indian culture with Portuguese heritage and tropical climate. A province of India very different from any other in the entire country. In the first part, the Happy Traveler's family explores the provincial capital with its old Portuguese forts. They go on a boat ride to see dolphins in the Indian Ocean and visit Goa's most famous beach, Baga where the tourist heart of the area is located with the popular cafes and bars that made the area famous in the 60s. Impressive beaches, chaotic markets, hot food and interesting history in a region of India that is itself a favorite global travel destination. A destination that our travelers continue to explore in the next episode of the show.
Snow-covered landscapes, decorated cities, Christmas sweets, colorful lights, smells, tastes and festive markets make the travels of the Happy Traveler family even more magical. Next is the capital of the Czech Republic, the beautiful and snowy Prague. They take walks in the city center, visit historical sights - Gunpowder Tower, Cathedral, Prague Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, National Museum, Symphony Orchestra Building -, discover the famous Christmas markets and taste local delicacies. Then they leave Prague and return to their home base of decked-out Thessaloniki to bring us the festive atmosphere of the city and remind us of top excursions from the past, with the first and best being a trip to Finnish Lapland and Rovaniemi, the village of Santa Claus.
Festive, Christmas, enchanting are the next episodes of Happy Traveler with our travelers visiting 4 countries and 4 European capitals in 4 days, as well as regions of Greece. In the first part, the Happy Traveler family embarks on a celebratory road trip across snowy Central and Eastern Europe. First stop is the aristocratic Vienna. Historic buildings, old palaces, the Opera House, cafes, museums, squares, churches and Europe's most famous Christmas market make the Austrian capital the ultimate Christmas dream for most and one of the top winter travel destinations. Next stop, the doll-like Bratislava, capital of Slovakia, which pleasantly surprises travelers, despite its small size. Last stop for this episode, the fairytale Budapest, capital of Hungary, with its imposing palaces, aristocratic beauty and monuments of classical architecture.
Eutychis and Elektra return to Greece with a trek dedicated to the country's fifth highest mountain. They circle the mountain passing through the historic Amfissa, formerly known as Salona. They go "into the mountain", into the mines of Fokida, and with the miners' wagon go 500 meters into the heart of Giona to learn all about the mining history of the mountain. They see the artificial lake of Mornos that was created in the 1980s to cover the capital's water supply needs. They arrive at Lidoriki, which went down in history as a stronghold of the fighters of Roumeli in the revolution of 1821. They pass through the village of Sykia, which is one of the villages with the most impressive location in all of Greece, and finally arrive at Kaloskopi, where they spend the night. Finally, they start to conquer another peak and after an adventurous hike with too much wind, they will set foot on the pyramid-summit at an altitude of 2508 meters.
Eutychis and Elektra with Happy Traveller, are in the Philippines on an impressive trip which is coming to an end. Our travelers visit the city of Cebu in the east of the country and explore the historic center, the chaotic market and a particularly welcoming neighborhood. They get on a boat and go to the island of Bohol where they admire the tiny tarsier monkeys and the famous chocolate hills where they learn why they are called that. A special trip to the Philippines, which left the best impressions on SKAI travelers.
Eutychis and Elektra with Happy Traveler are in the Philippines on the island of Palawan. The exploration of the island continues where our travelers see the tourist town of El Nido day and night and admire the castle of the small town of Taytay which was the first capital of the island. They walk through the jungle to reach a remote waterfall, visit the famous Nacpan Beach, above the turquoise waters and walk "in the clouds" on an adventure course with suspension bridges and cliff ladders and incredible breathtaking views. On their way back to Puerto Princessa, they visit the capital and largest city of Palawan and in addition to the central market they also see a traditional settlement of the local tribe of the island. The trip to Palawan ends with our travelers leaving with the best impressions, from this exotic destination that attracts millions of tourists from all over the world.
Eutychis and Elektra are in the Philippines, through Happy Traveller, exploring one of the most popular tropical travel destinations in the world, the island of Palawan. They embark on an epic roadtrip to the island paradise of Puerto Princessa's lacy shores, lush vegetation and impressive underground river. They pass through small towns and villages, leading to the northern part of Palawan which, with an area the size of Crete and Evia combined, is the fifth largest island of the Philippines. They go boating in El Nido Bay and see idyllic islets with enchanting beaches, the famous big lagoon, the secret lagoon and other landscapes that make travelers from all over the world come to Palawan to see them from close. This year the destinations are unique, such as Kenya, the Philippines, Malaysia, Southern Italy and Sicily, Cappadocia, Lebanon, Syria and Namibia. Of course, there will be no shortage of explorations in favorite places throughout Greece. Unique journeys from real travelers where we will get to know new places, amazing locations and welcoming people around the world. Happy Traveller, in the previous episode, embarked on a historical road trip, with visits to important locations that played a decisive role in the 40's saga. SKAI viewers will have the opportunity to watch the second part of the tribute to this historical period of Greece. From Epirus, which our travelers visited last Saturday, they cross the border and explore parts of neighboring Albania where important battles were fought by the Greek army in the counterattack against the Italians in the area of Northern Epirus. They see Koritsa, Morava, Heimarra, Argyrokastro, Kleisoura, Trebessina and Heroic Hill 731 which has been described by historians as the "modern Thermopylae". They visit two military cemeteries with the dead of the Greco-Italian war that exist in the area and unfold the flow of events that took place there from November 1940 to March 1941.
The Happy Traveler embarks on a historical road trip and visits important locations that played a pivotal role in the 1940s saga. Our travelers start from Athens and from the Monument to the Unknown Soldier. Later, they visit the "House of No" in Kifissia, i.e. the house of Ioannis Metaxas, where they meet his granddaughter who gives them interesting information about the night when Metaxas said the historic "NO" to the Italian ambassador. The continuation of the trek takes place in the holy lands of Epirus, where important battles of the Greek-Italian war took place in 1940. Greek-Albanian border, Kalpaki, Burazani, Konitsa are just some of the locations where some of the most important pages of Greek history were written. The tribute to October 28 will continue in the next episode, when Happy Traveler will, among other things, visit locations in Albania, where battles took place during the Italian invasion.
Happy Traveler's special trip to Kenya comes to an end and SKAI viewers have the opportunity to see even more magical images in the impressive African country. In part three, our travelers go to Kenya's Indian Ocean coast and explore the country's second largest city, Mombasa, and the surrounding area. They visit markets, historical monuments such as the impressive Portuguese Fort Jesus, enjoy the heavenly beaches and walk through the tropical jungle to reach a magnificent waterfall. Exciting images and unique experiences on a trip of a lifetime for Eutychis and Elektra who add one more country on the planet to their travel list.

In the first part, our travelers explored the country's capital, Nairobi. In the second part, Eutychis and Elektra go out of town to visit some of Kenya's most popular locations. They go to the Maasai Mara National Park to enjoy wildlife in its natural habitat, in the magnificent African savannah. They see impressive animals such as zebras, giraffes, elephants, leopards, rhinos, hippos, flamingos, lions and understand why Kenya is such a popular travel destination in Africa.
Happy Traveler embarks on a journey to exotic Kenya and for three episodes, SKAI viewers will have the opportunity to see enchanting images, wildlife in its natural environment, impressive animals and the way of life of the inhabitants in one of the most exciting African countries. In the first part, our travelers explore the country's capital and largest city, Nairobi, with its historic center home to the old British colonial buildings. They climb to the top of the Kenyatta Tower to see the spectacular view and browse the city's central markets. But they also see the modern side of the city and try local flavors in Nairobi's most popular restaurant as well as everyday street food eaten by the locals. Finally, they take a walk in Kibera, the largest slum in East Africa and, from a girl who lives there, they learn many interesting things about the way of life of the inhabitants.
Happy Traveler travels to the largest island of Saronic, Salamina. Known worldwide for her naval combat and famous within her borders for her simplicity and beauty. Eutychis and Electra, before leaving for the island, go to see the throne of Xerxes above Perama. It was the location from where the Persian king watched the naval battle of Salamis in September 480 BC. By boat from Perama they arrive at Palukia, the main port of Salamina next to the naval station. They see the islet of Agios Georgios and Kamatero while then they will reach the hill where the ancient city of Salamis was located. Immediately after, they descend towards the ancient port and the monument of the Paiana of Salaminomachi as well as the impressive Tomb of Salaminomachi which dominates the spot where the largest part of the historical Naval Battle took place.
The 9th season of Happy Traveler on SKAI started in the exotic Philippines. A country that has excited Eutychis and Electra. This episode begins by exploring the largest food market in downtown Manila, where our travelers discover special foods and taste local flavors. They then hop into a car for a road trip to beautiful locations outside the capital. They visit the Taal Lake area with its impressive volcano and the picturesque seaside town of Talisay with its huge central market. They continue to Laguna Lake and specifically to the town they call the Athens of Laguna, Pagsanjan, named after the river of the same name where they will take a boat upstream to reach the iconic Magdapio Falls, below which lies the so-called devil's cave.
First trip for this year, the distant and exotic Philippines, where in the first part, on Saturday September 16, we explore the impressive and historic capital Manila.
