The Eagle: A Crime Odyssey is a Danish police procedural television series produced by Danmarks Radio, created and written by Peter Thorsboe and Mai Brostrøm. The series debuted on 10 October 2004 in Denmark. It won an International Emmy Award from the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for best non-American television drama series in 2005. There were three seasons; the second season premiered in Denmark on 9 October 2005 and the third on 8 October 2006. The last episode originally aired in Denmark on 26 November 2006. The series was filmed on location in various parts of northern Europe, from Berlin and Copenhagen to Oslo and other locations including Iceland. The series has enjoyed particular success in Australia, where it airs on SBS and is available on DVD with English subtitles.

The Eagle: A Crime Odyssey Season 1 Full Episode Guide
After hovering between life and death, Hallgrim survives a knife attack. He and the team must now locate the perpetrator who is fighting to control the Balkan drug trade into Scandinavia.
Hallgrim and Marie attend a conference in Sweden where they locate the person behind the Lithuanian sex trade. A price is put on Hallgrim's head, and someone comes to collect.
In trying to find the truth about a batch of uranium that was seized by the Danish police, Hallgrim befriends a Chechen scientist in Oslo who has a sinister mission in life.
When the police seize a consignment of enriched uranium, Hallgrim makes a deal with Sergei in order to discover its planned destination. Meanwhile, Frandsen's life hangs in the balance as he is checked for radiation sickness.
The trail of murders, including the crown witness, shows Hallgrim that he is getting dangerously close to Sergei. Nervous, Hallgrim worries for Marie's safety and spends the night at her apartment. Searching for clues in Berit’s effects Ditte receives a tip to look for the one thing that doesn’t fit the normal pattern; a plastic card that contains a map leads the team to an industrial area in the harbour and some very dangerous goods.
A wealthy Norwegian businesswoman is found dead outside Hallgrim’s hotel and the team is led once more to Sergei Varsjinskij and an intricate money-laundering scheme.
Hallgrim is still in hot pursuit of ex-KGB man Sergei Varsjinskij and Luka Ivanovitsj Budanov; a new face joins the team while the relationship between Marie and Hallgrim heats up.
The enigmatic Hallgrim Hallgrimsson is on his way to Iceland to see his sick mother when he is called back because a policeman has been killed at Copenhagen airport. Four murders and a daring rescue later detective Hallgrim Hallgrimsson, AKA The Eagle, accepts a position in the police commissioner's new team so he can work on solving the case.
