Seeing its youth radicalized, and joining Islamic State, Zainab goes to France and meets with family members and young people to find out why so many young people are being seduced into joining the Islamic State.
Zainab takes a journey back home to Iraq to explore how life has changed under ISIS occupation and the U.S led invasion. She meets an Iraqi Mother named Um Hanadi - who leads a brigade of men fighting ISIS.
Thailand's renegade female monks endure arson, threats and resistance to emerge as religious leaders. Zainab takes a journey inside the lives of these female monks, one who gave up her life as a mother, scholar and TV personality, to be ordained.
Zainab shows how India is breaking new ground for third gender/transgender community and explores how the third gender has gone from a marginalized community in Indian culture to mainstream.
Muslim women who are wearing the headscarves are becoming the targets of attacks and threats to their lives and safety. Zainab goes to Minneapolis, Minnesota to understand why they are taking the headscarf on, the meaning of Islam in their lives, and how they are fighting back with their voice and actions.
