Luis Season 1 Full Episode Guide
Luis accidentally hits Isabella's car, knocking out her tail light, and quickly drives away thinking he got away with it. But problems arise for him when Greg tells Luis he saw the whole thing and pressures Luis into telling Isabella the truth. Greg is shocked when Luis refuses to fess up, and Luis' behavior only gets worse when Isabella comes into the donut shop reeling about getting a ticket for her broken tail light. Feeling bad for Isabella, combined with the stress of knowing Luis did it is too much for Greg and he confesses to Isabella he saw Luis hit her car. But much to Greg's surprise, he doesn't come out smelling like a rose.
Luis has to come to terms with his relationship with Isabella. They're not married and she's dating which becomes a problem for Luis when the family gets ready to celebrate ""Happy Death Day"", an annual celebration memorializing the day Luis's father died. Isabella usually helps Luis plan it but this year she tells Luis that she will not be able to join him because she has a conference to attend for work. Luis is infuriated when he learns that Isabella is really going out of town for a romantic weekend with her boss. Meanwhile, Greg tells Marly that he really wants to be a part of the death day celebration too but Luis feels that the occasion is too much of a family gathering to include him.
Luis is thrilled to find out that Isabella is bringing in real estate clients that will turn the run-down bodega across the street from his donut shop into a high-end gourmet market. But, in a surprising turn, white guy, Greg is outraged at the idea because he feels the gourmet market will ""destroy the realness of our barrio,"" and his passion leads him to vandalism at the bodega to scare the prospective new buyers away.
Luis finds out that Marly bought a pregnancy test and goes through the roof. He's mad that no-paying-job-in-sight Greg got his daughter pregnant, but Greg is excited - he's always wanted a little ""Quarter- Rican."" Luis finally changes Greg's mind when he tells him a baby would mean the end of Greg's art career. As Greg tells Marly he may not be ready for fatherhood, Isabella enters and asks Marly if she ""ran that errand at the pharmacy"" for her and Luis could not be more shocked. Luis assumes that the baby is his, which everyone assumes is impossible until Luis and Isabella reveal that they are sleeping together.
Luis is excited when his ex-wife Isabella sets him up with one of her friends, Eva. But when the date turns out to be a dud, Luis grows suspicious, and wonders why Isabella would set him up with someone so boring. By the end of the date Luis realizes that Isabella was using Eva to keep Luis busy until Isabella is ready to take him back. Luis confronts Isabella and she denies it, but when he goes in for a romantic kiss, Isabella takes the bait and kisse him, proving to him that she's still interested in him romantically. In addition, Greg plans a romantic date with Marly to keep their romance alive, but is depressed when she forgets about the date and works late at the bank.
Luis is manning the donut shop when Marly comes down with a kiss for her papi and a foot stomp for her cheap ass landlord. The hot water ran out again. Luis doesn't pay the gas bill because he doesn't think he should have to pay for something he can't see. Marly deftly points out that he paid for his shoes and he can't see them. Marly pins on her nametag and Luis wells with pride that his little girl has a job at an actual bank. Greg comes down and complains that he doesn't like how a nametag reduced people to just one word. ""Morning, Twinkie,"" greets Luis.
