Roy Season 1
Roy is an Irish television show, based in Dublin, which has been shown on TRTÉ in Ireland, CBBC in the United Kingdom and ABC3 in Australia and aired from 1 July 2009 to 1 April 2015. The show centres around the title character Roy O'Brien, the animated son of a real family, as he settles into his new school. It stars Scott Graham, Simon Delaney, Cathy Belton and Martha Byrne. The series is filmed as a mockumentry and based on the short film called Badly Drawn Roy which was commissioned by the Irish Film Board, RTÉ and the Arts Council of Ireland through their frameworks scheme for new animation. The series was commissioned by CBBC and produced with funding from RTÉ and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. Both the series and the short film was produced by Jam Media. The series' protagonist, Roy's character animation, layout and clean-up were all rendered through the European animation software, CelAction 2D. A second series was broadcast in early 2012. A third and fourth series were confirmed with the creation of 60 jobs in October 2012.In November 2012, the second series of Roy won the 2012 Children's BAFTA Drama Award Filming began on a third and fourth series in January 2013. The third series began airing on 23 January 2014, and the fourth began airing 20 January 2015. Two spin-off series have been produced: The Roy Files in 2015/2015 and Little Roy in 2016/2017.

An inspection is due at Ballyfermot and Mr. Hammond is determined that the school - and him - get an excellent report. He thinks the way to do this will be to make sure Roy is absent on the day but could his devious plan backfire?
The students have hacked into the school computer to prevent the teachers printing test papers but Roy accidentally gives away the new password. The other children are annoyed with him and an angelic halo appears over his head to his huge embarrassment. Roy wants to get rid of the halo but how can he now change his new reputation?
Roy and his classmates have to take part in key tests with Mr. Hammond determined the school gets good results to finish high in the league tables. Roy's parents go to see his teacher Miss Sheringham and it is clear she doesn't expect Roy to do well - and nor does he. Roy gets particularly worried when Kathy tells him he might be sent to a special school if he doesn't do well. Roy seeks some advice from top student Tommy on how to do well but takes it rather literally.
Becky becomes a vegetarian and Maura cooks a nut roast for the family. Roy is less than impressed with the new food and pulls a face which then freezes as it gets caught in the wind. He is hugely embarrassed but nothing seems to change it so maybe he will have to face up to his new look.
Roy goes to see a horror movie against his parents' instruction and then has nightmares that keep the whole family awake. Cathy teases him about getting scared but can he overcome his fears and get his own back on her?
Roy and Becky have been arguing so much that their parents feel they need a break from them so they are sent off on a caravanning weekend with their grandparents. Will brother and sister be able to get along better while their parents have a restful weekend?
Roy annoys his mum by messing about in the kitchen and she tells him to go away. He decides to teach her a lesson by going on the run but is Roy cut out for survival?
Mr. Hammond announces that a talent show is coming to the school and one of the judges will be its most famous ex-pupil - Tara Loveworth. Mr. Hammond believes he has played a part in Tara's success but will Roy and his classmates be able to follow in her footsteps? Roy forms his own "Roy band" for the contest but will they be able to strike the right note?
Roy takes his new games consul to school but has it taken off him by Mr. Hammond. He goes wandering around the school to get it back but can he do it without the teachers noticing the world's only cartoon boy is missing from class?
Roy and his classmates take part in a competition to raise the most money for charity. Roy finds his fund-raising ideas going badly wrong, especially when he turns his hand to busking.
A flu epidemic has hit Ballyfermot and Roy finds himself the only student in his class. He is determined to get ill so he can have time off like his classmates but can a cartoon boy get sick?
The children and Miss Sheringham are upset when Mr. Hammond decides that they must dissect frogs in their science lesson. Roy thinks he has the perfect plan to save the creatures but is he out of his depth?
We discover Roy's family as they settle into their new town and Roy's first day at school causes quite a commotion.
