Faliero escapes from Regina Coeli prison and hides at the home of his lawyer who, among other things, is his lover. The two have planned to leave Italy to move to Venezuela, but Faliero intends to get rid of his partner before leaving.
Roberto reveals to Giovanna that Stasi is the one who betrayed her; for Giovanna it is a terrible blow and, at least at the beginning, she cannot believe it.
Adriano, Luca's partner, finds work in a debt collection company, but soon discovers that his new colleagues are used to intimidation and violence to convince debtors to pay; so he decides to file a complaint with the police.
The agents continue to follow Giulio Macri'. Giovanna contacts Nini, a colleague of hers from Palermo, who joins her in Rome and begins to collaborate with the police team. Her task will consist of trying to learn about all of Macri's illicit activities, to have the possibility of infiltrating and acting undisturbed in order to find Vinci.
Angela learns that Letizia, a woman who works with her at the clinic, has a violent husband who mistreats her and tries to convince the woman to file a complaint: initially Letizia does not accept her friend's help and cannot accept reality. Later, however, she changes her mind and decides to leave her husband.
The investigation continues to track down the killers of the attack and Commissioner Scalise is discouraged. One of the killers is identified as a person who had been dead for two years. A lady who runs a bar is the victim of extortion.
At the police station everyone is shocked by the attack and Scalise and Ardenzi are accused of having acted lightly. At the hospital one of the attackers enters where Manrico is hospitalized with the intention of killing him, but Ardenzi intervenes.
A man reports that his neighbor might be a terrorist. Ardenzi instead discovers an illegal trade in pornographic material. Manrico accompanies Livia and Nina to do some shopping. As they leave the store, the three are ambushed.
Linda has an affair with a married man. The lover, instead of leaving his wife, decides to kill Linda and has the gardener of the building accused. A witness informs the police via email so as not to reveal his identity.
