Inspector Sam Durrant needs the fire brigade to help rescue a cat stuck up a tree. Jo finds out just how itchy it must be for a cat to have ear mites. Inspector Clare Dew investigates why a cat is over-grooming. Jo helps out in an operation on young feline mum Sarah at Harmsworth. At Newbrook Animal Centre we meet Mr Wobbles, who needs a very special home. And in "Small Cat Diaries", we take a final behind the scenes look at what Jo has learnt whilst filming the series.
It's double trouble for Inspector Herchy Boal, when she picks up two litters of kittens. As with any unvaccinated kittens living outside, cat flu is a major risk. Animal Collection Officer Matt Brown rescues a cat on a telegraph pole. Jo assists with radical ear surgery on cat Ocean. In "Small Cat Diaries" we take a behind the scenes look at how the all-important title sequence is made.
In Essex, there's a high-risk rescue for Animal Collection Officer Joe White, when a kitten is spotted on a motorway's hard shoulder. Inspector Sam Durrant visits an owner reported for keeping his cats and himself in unhygienic conditions. Jo meets the tiniest kitten she has ever seen. In Birmingham, Inspector Herchy Boal investigates a complaint about a neglected cat with a broken leg. Inspector Matt Brown is sent to pick up two cats trapped in an abandoned property. Jo assists with kitten neutering. We take another behind the scenes look in "Small Cat Diaries" at how the interview technique called 'The Interrotron' is made.
Inspector Matt Brown receives a report about a family of kittens hiding in the loft above a shop. Inspector Anthony Pulfer goes to extreme lengths to save a stray tomcat who has fallen into a tiny courtyard. Jo finds out the most effective way to sedate a feral cat. Nine-month old Tiger was found pregnant after being rescued from a multi-cat household - her story will be followed throughout the series.
