Wild Indonesia Season 1 Full Episode Guide
Central Indonesia is a wild, volcanic world. Trapped in the heart of the monsoon, rains have created a paradise and driven the evolution of rich and bountiful life. Cut off from east and west, it is an extraordinary island paradise home to a unique mix of creatures and a land where dragons rule.
Borneo is the worlds third largest island, and Sumatra is no dwarf in comparison. Both islands became cut off from the Asian mainland when sea levels rose at the end of the last ice age 12,000 years ago. Large animals became marooned, isolated from their mainland cousins. Over time, they have adapted and evolved to their new home developing an array of unique traits on each island. Today, these are the Islands of Monsters.
On Indonesia's eastern frontier lies an ancient world forged by fire. Isolated for thousands of years it is a land of extremes where creatures have evolved beyond recognition. Each habitat harbours a unique mix of the bold and the bizarre as Papua's lost worlds support one of the richest and strangest concentrations of life on our planet.
