It’s the season opener of barbecue competitions in Mobile, Ala. Over 90 teams have come out with their secret rubs, sauces and tricked out smokers to compete for their share of $20,000 in prize money. Many of these teams are now old friends because they compete against each other contest after contest. But this is their first competition of the year. Old friends aside, they’re serious about winning. Watch as seasoned pros deliver up award-winning recipes, race to beat the clock and find out whose barbecue drives the judges hog-wild.
Five sugar masters take great risks in this competition. Not only does their design have to top five feet, but they have to maneuver it through an obstacle course.
