Through dramatized scenes and interviews with historians, we watch how young doctor Ioannis Kapodistrias decided to get actively involved in politics, first on his native island of Corfu, and later as diplomat in Saint Petersburg.
Watch Ioannis Kapodistrias’ long trip to Saint Petersburg through the frozen forests of Russia, his presence and recognition in the city’s high society and his appointment as an attache of the Russian embassy in Vienna.
From the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kapodistrias works to promote social justice in Russia’s foreign affairs. Meanwhile, he comes in touch with the founders of Filiki Eteria and the Greek Revolution leaders.
