The Amazing Race Season 17
This reality competition sees teams embark on a trek around the world to amazing destinations where they must compete in a series of challenges, some mental and some physical. Only when the tasks are completed will they learn of their next location. Teams who are the farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning the race and the $1 million prize.

The Amazing Race 17 features 11 teams of two, each with a pre-existing relationship, in a race around the world. The seventeenth cycle started on Sunday, September 26, 2010. It aired on CBS in the United States in a special 90-minute episode; then returned to its normal hour-long format the following week on Sunday nights at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT with the season finale on December 12, 2010. The show was again hosted by Phil Keoghan.

The final three teams soar to new heights over Southern California, competing in the final leg for a shot at the million-dollar prize and, for two teams, the chance to become the first ever all-female team to win the series.

The nine remaining teams set off from the Pit Stop at Awusa Ntso's house in Ghana on the fourth leg of a race around the world for one million dollars.
The remaining teams continue racing in Leg 3, where a challenging detour tests one couple's relationship, while another team's Racer requires medical attention, threatening their position in the competition.
The ten remaining teams depart the Pit Stop at Eastnor Castle in England to continue their race around the world for one million dollars.
The 11 teams begin their worldwide journey; the team that finishes the challenge in first place earns a game-changing advantage.
