It's the semi-final and the perfect time to test the remaining bakers' abilities in patisserie. There are mini charlottes in the Signature that demand precision, a vertical challenge in the Technical, and finally an opulent Swedish showstopper.

It's Custard Week and the bakers put their twist on floating islands in the Signature, tackle a summer staple, and make custard the star and basis of a showstopping set gateau.
Halloween has come early as the remaining bakers tackle three terrifying challenges. There's a seasonal Signature in the form of an apple cake, followed by a s'more-ish Technical and, in the Showstopper, they create a Halloween piñata.
It's Dessert Week and the bakers get all steamed up in the Signature, tackle a classic lemon meringue pie in the Technical, and for the Showstopper are tasked with creating a sponge cake with a surprise inside.
The bakers explore authentic Mexican bakes, as they put their twist on the sweet bread pan dulce for the Signature, tackle a Mexican street food staple in the Technical, and make their own showstopping version of the milk-soaked tres leches cake.
It's Bread Week, and the bakers put their stamp on a classic pizza in the Signature and get in a twist with a classic pastry in the Technical. Finally, the bakers tackle a showstopping Smörgåstårta, a decorative Danish sandwich cake.
It's Biscuit Week, and the bakers kick off with illusion macarons in the Signature, before producing a fruity favourite in the Technical. And in the Showstopper, they put their creativity to the test by making a 3D mask entirely from biscuits.
Week 1 in the tent brings 13 new bakers together to test their cake skills. The judges are looking for perfect mini cakes, a tangy technical, and a home baked showstopper.
