Project Runway Season 11 Full Episode Guide
In the conclusion of the finale, the remaining contestants ready their collections for the runway. They are given an additional $500 to spend at Mood to finish their looks. Then they present their lines to industry insiders at Fashion Week.
Each of the remaining designers is given five months and $10,000 to design a 12-piece collection for Fashion Week. In the interim, each gets a special visit in their hometown from Tim Gunn. Back in New York, they must choose three of their looks to show as part of a mini-collection in order to secure their spot in the final runway show.
The designers travel to Berlin, Barcelona, London, and Paris to get inspiration for a high-end runway look. They have $1000 and two days (one for planning and one for fabrication) to complete the challenge.
After the team format is dissolved, the designers are asked to create an editorial-look for actress Jordana Brewster to appear in Marie Claire magazine. They have $250 and one day to complete their garments.
In teams of two, the designers are asked to make a piece of wearable art and a ready-to-wear companion piece. They must also draw inspiration from the Guggenheim Museum in creating their own fabrics to use in their designs. They have $200 for supplemental fabric and two days to complete the challenge.
In three teams, the designers are instructed to create ready-to-wear looks by drawing inspiration from the signature Lord & Taylor rose. The teams have $75 per person and one day to complete the challenge.
After being divided into two teams, the contestants are tasked to design three tear-away outfits for Australia's all-male revue Thunder From Down Under. Each team has $750 and one day to complete the challenge.
In teams of two, the contestants must design fashion-forward prom gowns constructed from Duck brand duct tape. They have less than one day to complete the challenge.
The contestants are asked to create fashionable clothes for senior citizens. The teams have $200 per person and one day to complete their garments.
In teams of two, the designers must create a performance outfit and a red-carpet look for country music artist Miranda Lambert. Each team has $400 and one day to complete their garments.
The teams must create a mini-collection of looks out of hard and soft materials from a flower shop and a hardware store. They have $2500 and two days to complete the challenge.
The contestants are tasked to design garments for Heidi Klum and the launch of her new fragrance line. Heidi will wear the winning garment in her national commercial and a second winning garment at a press event. The teams have $1200 and one day to complete the challenge.
The designers must create ball-boy and server uniforms for Spin New York, a ping-pong social club. The teams have $500 and one day to complete the challenge.
