Ni Hao, Kai-Lan is an American children's television show, which premiered on Nickelodeon on November 5, 2007, and on Noggin on December 15, 2008. It also premiered on the Canadian Television Channel Treehouse TV Since March 2009 the show has also aired on Nickelodeon in Israel. Ni Hao, Kai-lan is based on the childhood memories of the show's creator Karen Chau growing up in a bicultural household. “Ni hao” means “Hello” in Mandarin, and Kai-Lan is the Chinese name Chau was given at birth, which was later anglicized to Karen.

Kai-lan helps Rintoo overcome his fear of roller skating so he can join his friends at the rink.
On a trip to the beach, Tolee gets angry when the waves knock over his sand castle, so the others help him calm down and together they build a better castle.
Rintoo sprains his ankle and can not go trick-or-treating with all of his friends.
Kai-lan and her friends are allowed to carry the dragon costume for Chinese New Year parade, but Rintoo quits the team after getting upset about his "boring" middle position.
Kai-lan helps the ants build a tire swing for their playground, but she makes it too big. She learns to view things from the ants' perspective and builds a new swing that is just right.
Rintoo and the gang work together to assemble his new toy car, but Hoho can't wait until it is finished. He hops in before the car is done, causing it to fall apart. Kai-lan helps him learn to be patient so everyone gets to play.
Kai-lan camps out in the backyard in a ladybug-shaped tent with her friends, but trouble arises when Tolee refuses to share a stuffed toy, Pandy. Kai-lan helps Tolee see that everyone has more fun while sharing.
Kai-lan wants to start a band, but Tolee cannot do a rhyme. The gang encourages him to keep trying, and he discovers he has a talent for singing and rhyming.
Kai-lan takes her friends sledding, but Tolee is afraid, so the gang helps him overcome his fear by starting with a small hill.
While playing near an ant city with Twirly Whirly flowers, Tolee accidentally break the ants' bridge. Kai-lan and her friends help the ants repair it.
In a lesson about jealousy, Kai-lan follows strange footprints to an elephant, whose large size makes Rintoo envious.
Hoho's lantern flies away and he becomes trapped with it in a tree. Kai-lan figures out a way to rescue him just in time for the lantern festival.
Kai-lan and friends make hats and prepare for a special parade, but Rintoo is upset when Hoho copies his design, and Kai-lan must find a way to calm him so the parade can go on.
Rintoo gets angry when he loses a dragonboat race. Kai-lan helps him calm down so they can all meet Mr. Dragon at the end of the festival.
