Paul meets an excitable bulldog called Bruce with breathing issues. He also helps to socialise a nervous saluki Bambi and falls head over heels for a stray dachshund.
Paul meets a six-year-old stray pug called Mildred with a long list of ailments, including a terrible case of sarcoptic mites, and a 10-month-old golden retriever called Patrick that has had a double hip replacement and is desperate to play again. Later, he meets 11 rare blue whippet puppies about to embark on their new lives.
Paul meets a chihuahua-pug cross that has been returned to Battersea for a second time after her owner passed away. He is also introduced to a lovable bulldog called Donald with a long list of ailments that need medical attention, and helps two neglected stray boxers that need to learn to be dogs again

This time, Paul meets a Shar Pei cross that needs surgery to correct its sight problems, before coming across a lonely Bichon Frise cross suffering from severe separation anxiety and a destructive Mastiff with an unusual palette.
