Terry and June Medford are both middle aged and beginning to find the trials of life are more difficult as they try to succeed in their daily lives. The couple have just moved to Purley, south-east London... Aunt Lucy and the mynah bird had disappeared, as had the occasionally visiting daughters. Terry and June now mixed with a friendly next door neighbour, Beattie; Terry's chatty work colleague, Malcolm; and their gruff boss Sir Dennis Hodge. Otherwise, things were much as before, with Terry's pigheaded childishness causing no end of problems, usually thwarting June's attempts at leading a cosy life.

Terry and June Season 5 Full Episode Guide
Sir Dennis Hodge wrongly assumes Terry has invited him to Christmas lunch. Things escalate when Miss Fennel and Malcom and Beattie also invite themselves. It ends up with Terry and June having a full house on Christmas Day.
The vicar asks the Medfords to give a talk at their local old folks' club. He also suspects there is a fraudulent bingo game going on and asks Terry to straighten it out.
Terry decides to get rid of the sand pit in his garden and replace it with a nice ornamental pool.
Terry takes up CB radio and ends up getting stuck in the back of a removal van!
Terry decides to take up woodworking, while Tarquin sets up a noise abatement group to try and curb noise from a neighbour who is learning to play the drums.
The Medfords take up golf, but when they run into problems with other members at the club, they begin to wonder whether they are cut out for the sport.
Sir Dennis wants Terry to stand as a councillor and get into the local council so they can sell more fire extinguishers. If he fails to get elected he faces a transfer to the company's Iceland office.
