Coke Studio Season 9
Coke Studio is a Pakistani music television series which features live studio music performances by various artists, started in June 2008, originating from the Brazilian show, Estúdio Coca-Cola. The show is produced by Coca-Cola Company and Strings Band. Coke Studio has been popular, receiving critical acclaim and frequently being rebroadcast on television and radio in Pakistan.

2008 / TV-14The ninth season of Coke Studio was again produced by the band Strings and Coca-Cola Company, with six music directors, Noori, Shani Arshad, Jaffer Zaidi, Faakhir, Shiraz Uppal and Shuja Haider. This was the first time in the history of Coke Studio that six musicians served as music directors. The ninth season debuted on August 13, and it's final episode aired on September 2, 2016. Qawwal singer Amjad Sabri, marked his first and final appearance on Coke Studio with the song "Rang". His song was aired posthumously, as he was killed in a gun-firing on June 22, 2016, before the seasons airing. Also in the season, the Indian singer Shilpa Rao, marked her debut on Coke Studio Pakistan, becoming the first singer from India to feature on a Pakistani musical series.
