Pitch Meeting Season 2 Full Episode Guide

Episode 90 - X-Men: First Class Pitch Meeting
First Aired: December. 29,2018

After the original X-Men trilogy and the widely hated X-Men: The Last Stand, Fox decided to venture into the past with X-Men: First Class, a kind of reboot kind of prequel type thing. The movie introduced us to a whole new generation of X-Men, kind of, including young versions of Magneto, Professor X, Mystique, Beast and more. The movie definitely does raise a question or two though. Like what’s up with Sebastian Shaw’s overly complicated plan? Why does Professor X not use his full powers to save the world? Why does Emma Frost decide to just hang out in prison?

Episode 89 - Die Hard Pitch Meeting
First Aired: December. 27,2018

Die Hard changed action movies forever and made Bruce Willis’s John McClane into one of the most iconic characters in movie history. The film is an absolute classic, but it definitely does raise some questions. Like what's up with Hans Gruber’s cronies having such beautiful hair? Why doesn't anybody shoot each other when they have the chance? What's up with the awkward foot stuff? Why does Nakatomi Plaza host their party on Christmas Eve?

Episode 88 - Aquaman Pitch Meeting
First Aired: December. 22,2018

After a rocky first go in 2017’s Justice League, Jason Momoa is getting a shot at his own solo Aquaman movie, expanding the DC Universe some more. Arthur Curry kicks a lot of butt in the new movie and James Wan provides viewer with a pretty crazy visual ride. The superhero movie definitely raises some questions though. Like what’s up with the heavy metal guitar riffs when Aquaman shows up? Why didn’t Orm get rid of all the trash in the first place? Why did they train an octopus to play the drums?

Episode 87 - Toy Story Pitch Meeting
First Aired: December. 19,2018

Pixar and Disney completely changed the animation game when they released the acclaimed Toy Story all the way back in 1995. As the first completely computer generated feature film, it ushered in a new era of film. Characters like Buzz, Woody, Andy and more became classics overnight. But the movie definitely raises a few questions. Like what’s up with Buzz freezing around humans despite not thinking he’s a toy? Why are the toys so sudden to turn on Woody? What exactly are the RULES of toys coming to life?

Episode 86 - The Santa Clause Pitch Meeting
First Aired: December. 15,2018

The Santa Clause starring Tim Allen is considered by many people to be an absolute classic Christmas Christmas movie. A dad turns into Santa Claus? What’s not to like? Well even though people love the movie, it definitely raises a whole lot of questions. Like what’s up with Santa waving goodbye and disappearing? Why is it super easy, barely an inconvenience to become Santa Claus? Why don’t any of the elves care about the old Santa dying? Why does Santa even have to be a fat guy if it’s more of a job description?

Episode 85 - Spider-Man 2 Pitch Meeting
First Aired: December. 12,2018

With movies like Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse and even the Spider-Man video game on PS4, it’s safe to say that Spider-Man is still as popular today as it was back when Tobey Maguire was playing the web slinger. Spider-Man 2 is seen by many as the best Spider-Man movie ever made, or even to some the best SUPERHERO movie ever made. That being said, the movie does raise a couple of questions. Like how is Peter Parker poor? What’s up with Doc Ock’s super public experiments? Why does he want to steal money instead of parts?

Episode 84 - Jingle All The Way Pitch Meeting
First Aired: December. 08,2018

Arnold Schwarzenegger is mostly known for his action films, so it seemed liked a fun idea to have him star in Jingle All The Way, the 1996 Christmas movie in which every single scene ends in Turbo Man related violence! The movie is considered a holiday classic by many, but critics absolutely hated it. The Sinbad/Schwarzenegger film definitely raises a lot of questions. Like why is Howard such a liar? Why DOES every scene end in violence? Why was there a warehouse filled with Santas?

Episode 83 - Avengers: Endgame Trailer Pitch Meeting
First Aired: December. 07,2018

The trailer for Avengers 4 (Avengers: Endgame) is finally here, and fans are going absolutely nuts. The trailer reunites us with the surviving Marvel heroes Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man and more. And it really makes you think that the person that put this together LOVES to make people sad. So many scenes designed to pull at our heartstrings and remind us that our favorite heroes have turned to dust thanks to Thanos and his snap.

Episode 82 - Home Alone 2: Lost In New York Pitch Meeting
First Aired: December. 05,2018

After the insane and unexpected success of the first Home Alone movie starring Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, it was really a no brainer for the studio to invest in a second movie. Home Alone 2: Lost In New York is considered a Christmas classic, but it definitely raises a lot of questions. Like what are the odds of Harry and Marv ending up in NYC on the SAME day as Kevin Mcallister? What’s up with the same characters running into each other over and over again? Why don’t Harry and Marv die?!

Episode 81 - X-Men: The Last Stand Pitch Meeting
First Aired: December. 01,2018

The first X-Men movie and X2: X-Men United were smash hits at the box office that brought characters like Wolverine, Professor X, Magneto, Mystique, Storm and more into the mainstream. But when Bryan Singer stepped away for the third movie and left things in the hands of Brett Ratner-- things took a turn. X-Men The Last Stand is seen as one of the worst entries in the X-Men franchises and definitely had fans scratching their heads over some questionable decisions. Why did Cyclops die so unceremoniously? Why didn’t Wolverine try the cure on Jean? Why did so many characters either die or lose their powers? How come Magneto didn’t get arrested after destroying the Golden Gate Bridge?

Episode 80 - The Lion King Pitch Meeting
First Aired: November. 28,2018

Disney’s original Lion King movie from 1994 is one of the most beloved animated kids movies of all time. It made so much money that Disney is making it again! This time in “live action” which essentially means very good CGI. Although the original is a classic and characters like Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Zazu, Scar and more are iconic now -- the movie isn’t without its questionable moments. Like what’s up with Scar controlling the weather? Why is the brother-sister romance so… romanticized? Why are lions even kings?

Episode 79 - Ralph Breaks The Internet Pitch Meeting
First Aired: November. 24,2018

Wreck-It Ralph was one of Disney's most well liked animated feature films so it definitely makes sense that Disney would want to make a sequel. Once more we dive into the magical world of Ralph, Vanellope, and also a little bit of Calhoun and Fix-It Felix Jr. This time around Ralph and Vanellope head to the world wide web and encounter all the magical product placement that takes place on the Internet. Want to see how the magical Disney reference packed film came together?

Episode 78 - Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald Pitch Meeting
First Aired: November. 21,2018

Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald is J.K. Rowling’s second movie in the Harry Potter spinoff series designed to make a whole lot of money off of Potterheads. Eddie Redmayne returns as Newt Scamander who is once again running around and doing magical things, while other people also run around and do that same. The movie definitely raises a lot of questions. Like why is Dumbledore so secretive? What’s up with Queenie’s motivations? How come that memory wipe thing from the first movie just didn’t work? How is Professor McGonagall teaching a class before she’s even born?

Episode 77 - X2: X-Men United (2003) Pitch Meeting
First Aired: November. 17,2018

The first X-men movie in 2000 really ushered in a new era of superhero movies that actually take themselves seriously, and lots of fans think that (the terribly titles) X2: X-men United is even better. But the movie raises a lot of questions when you think about it. What's up with Wolverine not doing anything about his origin? Why did Mystique work as a US Senator for several months? How did Magneto know where to station himself in the woods to catch that jet?

Episode 76 - Bohemian Rhapsody Pitch Meeting
First Aired: November. 14,2018

Rami Malek is getting a ton of praise for his portrayal of Queen’s Freddie Mercury in the musical biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (and rightfully so). Malek perfectly captures the essence of the Queen frontman all the way up to his legendary performance in the Live Aid concert. But does the movie meet the standard of Rami Malek’s performance, or do justice to Freddie Mercury? What’s up with the major changes to the story? How come the timeline is all out of whack? Why doesn’t the band meet any challenges on their road to international success?

Episode 75 - Spider-Man (2002) Pitch Meeting
First Aired: November. 10,2018

Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire kicked off the superhero craze that we’re still living in today. The movie was undeniably awesome and brought the characters of Peter Parker, MJ, Green Goblin, Aunt May and JJ Jonah Jameson into the mainstream. But the movie isn't without its strange moments. Why do Spider-Man’s webs come out of his body? How did he make his amazing costume? What’s up with Green Goblin wanting to be best friends?

Episode 74 - Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Pitch Meeting
First Aired: November. 07,2018

The Harry Potter movies were an absolute global phenomenon, so you can’t really blame Warner Bros. for wanting to cash in on that whole universe with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them just a couple of years later. The studio brought us back into the wizarding world of Harry Potter with a new era, a new continent and a whole lot of magical beasts. Instead of Hogwarts, the movie brings us to New York City and brings a whole lot of questions along with it. Like why is Newt Scamander so reckless with his beasts? What’s up with that weird rhino scene? What’s a Former-Auror?

Episode 73 - The Nightmare Before Christmas Pitch Meeting
First Aired: November. 03,2018

The Nightmare Before Christmas from Tim Burton and director Henry Sellick is one of the most beloved Christmas and/or Halloween movies, depending who you ask. Jack Skellington is on a mission to appropriate the cool things he finds that don’t belong to him, and never faces any consequences for his actions. So what led to this bizarre stop motion animation featuring the Pumpkin King and Sally taking on the Oogie Boogie Man?

Episode 72 - Halloween (2018) Pitch Meeting
First Aired: October. 31,2018

Halloween is one of the most popular horror movies franchises in history, so it makes sense that Universal wanted to bring Michael Myers back for another murder spree this year. This time around, Laurie Strode is alive once again and ready to take on Michael once and for all (until the sequel.) The movie raises a lot of questions, like why does it have the same title as the movie it’s a sequel to? Why does Laurie still live in Haddonfield? What exactly is her weird strategy with the lights? Why didn’t she make sure that Michael was dead?

Episode 71 - Halloween (1978) Pitch Meeting
First Aired: October. 27,2018

John Carpenter’s 1978 Halloween movie introduced the world to the iconic serial killer Michael Myers, his crazy William Shatner mask, and of course, to Jamie Lee Curtis. The film revolutionized horror movies and spawned a ridiculous number of sequels, spin-offs and reboots. But what kind of decisions went into making the original? Why were there SO many lingering long takes and filler moments? How was Michael able to survive the crazy stuff that happened to him? What’s up with Loomis and the police not warning anybody about a crazy killer on the loose?

Episode 69 - The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Pitch Meeting
First Aired: October. 20,2018

Spider-Man fans were pretty excited when Andrew Garfield stepped into the role of Spidey with The Amazing Spider-Man, and apparently the movie made enough money to warrant a sequel! The Amazing Spider-Man 2 brought us a whole lot of villains and relationship problems, apparently learning nothing from Spider-Man 3. A lot of questionable decisions went into making this superhero movie. What’s up with Electro’s motivation and randomly fixed teeth? Why is Harry Osborn dying so much faster than his dad. Why does Gwen Stacy rush to her death?

Episode 68 - Logan Pitch Meeting
First Aired: October. 17,2018

LOGAN was apparently Hugh Jackman’s last outing as his iconic character Wolverine. Whether or not that ends up being true, it certainly seems like the movie wrapped up the storyline of the most popular member of the X-Men. But what exactly led to some of the stranger decisions in this movie? Like what was up with all the swearing? Or Logan’s plan to buy a boat for him and Professor X? Or X-23 only using her powers AFTER Gabriela is killed by the Reavers? Or the secret barrier that makes Canada incredibly safe?

Episode 67 - Venom Pitch Meeting
First Aired: October. 13,2018

Venom starring Tom Hardy is dividing critics and audiences. While most this incarnation of the character is a big step up from the Spider-man 3 version, the movie definitely has its weird elements. What's up with Eddie Brock being invited to the lab by that scientist? Why did the Riot symbiote wander around Malaysia for six months? What the hell happened during that final fight?

Episode 66 - Spider-Man 3 Pitch Meeting
First Aired: October. 10,2018

Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 was such a disaster that the character has already been rebooted twice since the movie came out in 2007. From emo Spider-Man to Eric Foreman playing Venom, the superhero film was chock full of strange decisions from the filmmakers. What’s up with Sandman getting a free pass? Or Peter Parker dancing in the street to no music? Or that crazy church scene?

Episode 65 - Coraline Pitch Meeting
First Aired: October. 06,2018

Coraline is the perfect movie for children. If your children enjoy movies where terrifying spider-needle-ladies want to rip your eyes out and replace them with buttons-- then trap your soul in their evil magic realm for so long you forget who you are. In terms of kids movies, Coraline is pretty much at the top of the list of the creepiest out there. So how did the movie come to be? Why is it is so weird and creepy? What’s up with Other Mother agreeing to vague plot device games? Or creating entities that have free will and an understanding of good and evil?

Episode 64 - The Nun Pitch Meeting
First Aired: October. 03,2018

The Nun is a spin-off of a sequel, so right off the bat you KNOW it’s gonna be good. Based on the popular Conjuring series by James Wan, the Nun takes us to Romania in 1952 to show us the origin story of… you guessed it-- The Nun. Sister Irene, Father Burke and Frenchie spend an unnecessary amount of time investigating the suicide of a nun as an EVIL nun plays super spooky pranks on them, but doesn’t kill them for some reason.

Episode 63 - Ready Player One Pitch Meeting
First Aired: September. 29,2018

Steven Spielberg ventured into the world of Virtual Reality with Ready Player One this year, bringing us into the OASIS. Wade AKA Parzival teamed up with Olivia AKA Art3mis to take on the big bad guys from I.O.I in order to go on an Easter Egg hunt. This movie raises a WHOLE lot of questions. What’s up with the inconsistent VR tech? Why did Halliday try to get people to go into the real world by making them dive into the world of VR? What’s up with the thousands of pop culture references? Why are I.O.I. and Nolan Sorento considered super evil when the OASIS is ALREADY profiting off of gamers and taking over their lives?

Episode 62 - The Predator Pitch Meeting
First Aired: September. 26,2018

1987’s Predator film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is a classic in its genre, and Hollywood has been trying to squeeze more money out of the franchise for years. The latest attempt is called ‘The Predator’ and it stars Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn. A LOT of questionable decisions went into making this movie. Why does that Predator want to help humans. What’s up with the weird global warming message and Super Predators? Why does shooting a Predator dog in the head make it your best friend?

Episode 61 - The Meg Pitch Meeting
First Aired: September. 22,2018

JAWS really set the bar high for shark movies back in 1975, and THE MEG tries to bring the shark genre into a new generation. It does this by basically having Jason Statham fight a 70 foot long prehistoric Megalodon shark in hand-to-hand combat. With a description like that, how did this movie manage to drop the ball? Why did the whole basis of his character make no sense? How did he “see” a giant shark BEFORE it was set free from the Mariana Trench? Why don’t we get to see a shark for like 45 minutes of the movie? Why does it feel like a high budget version of Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus or Sharknado?

Episode 57 - Iron Man 3 Pitch Meeting
First Aired: September. 08,2018

Coming hot off the worldwide phenomenon that was the first Avengers movie, fans were super pumped to see Tony Stark in action once more in Iron Man 3. What they got was a movie where Tony deals with panic attacks and barely suits up and an iconic comic book villain turned into a plot twist. But at least expectations were subverted, right? Step into the pitch meeting that led to the third installment in the Iron Man franchise and led Marvel to be like “yeah maybe let’s just put Tony in other people’s movies from now on.” Also, where were the Avengers during this movie?

Episode 56 - Avatar Pitch Meeting
First Aired: September. 05,2018

James Cameron’s Avatar took the world by storm in 2009, securing its spot as one of the highest grossing movies of all time. Isn’t it kind of weird then that it barely seems to have had any impact on pop culture? To find out why that is, let’s step inside the pitch meeting that led to the world of Pandora, the Na’vi, and a whooooole lot of thinly veiled racial stereotypes. What led to the decision to have giant blue kitty kats? Why don’t the multi-million dollar Avatars have ANY tracking capabilities? What’s up with the super generic villain?

Episode 54 - Wreck-It Ralph Pitch Meeting
First Aired: August. 29,2018

Kind of like a Toy Story for a new generation (as long as you don’t think about it too much) Wreck-It Ralph was a smash hit when it came out in 2012. With the sequel ‘Ralph Breaks The Internet’ hitting theaters soon, we thought we’d take a look back at the weird decisions that probably led to the first film! Like why is the logic tying the video games together so flimsy? Why is King Candy basically a clone of Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. How come the movie does a 180 half-through through and starts making candy-based jokes instead of the video game jokes we were promised?

Episode 53 - Thor Pitch Meeting
First Aired: August. 25,2018

Before the MCU was the absolute beast that it is today, Marvel was popping out little origin movies for characters as a lead up to the first Avengers movie. With the first Thor movie, they took us on a very tilted adventure to Asgard and introduced the God of Thunder, played by Chris Hemsworth. Although it was a fun time, there were a lot of weird decisions that must have gone into making the movie. What was Loki’s plan exactly? Why did Odin make such weird decisions? What’s up with Jane and Thor immediately falling in love for no apparent reason?

Episode 52 - Rick and Morty Pitch Meeting
First Aired: August. 22,2018

Rick and Morty from Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland is one of the most popular shows on TV right now. Some members of the Rick and Morty fanbase are pretty much crazy, so we thought we’d step inside the pitch meeting that led to the hit Adult Swim animated show. What’s up with Rick Sanchez and his constant use of portal guns? Why is everything solved with portal guns or random inter-dimensional devices. Why is the show so very meta? Why did the Honest Trailers guys say “Super Easy Barely An Inconvenience” in their Deadpool 2 video?

Episode 51 - Hotel Transylvania Pitch Meeting
First Aired: August. 18,2018

Hotel Transylvania 3 hit theaters recently… That means that Dracula, Mavis, Jonathan and the gang are at it again for some new monstrous adventures. But how did this Adam Sandler franchise come to be? How come the entire premise falls apart once you start asking a couple of basic questions, like why do the monsters have money, what’s up with Frankenstein’s fear of fear, or everyone’s fear of humans for that matter?

Episode 49 - Teen Titans Go! To The Movies Pitch Meeting
First Aired: August. 11,2018

With so many superhero movies out there now, it’s only fair that Teen Titans Go! Gets their own shot on the big screen (although some would argue that Teen Titans deserved it more.) The movie features a star-studded voice cast including Nicolas Cage, Will Arnett, Kristen Bell and more. But what’s up with the movie itself? Why is the plot so thin? How does it BARELY qualify as a feature film? Why are there SO MANY poop jokes?

Episode 48 - Tom Cruise Pitch Meeting
First Aired: August. 08,2018

Tom Cruise is one of the most popular actors in the world. From Top Gun, to Mission Impossible to Jack Reacher and A Few Good Men and other classics, he’s definitely made his mark on Hollywood. But how would you explain him to somebody who’s never heard of him? He plays hot shots kind of a lot? For some reason he insists on doing his own stunts. He has the laugh of a crazy person and is a leading member of Scientology?

Episode 47 - Mission: Impossible Franchise Pitch Meeting
First Aired: August. 04,2018

Tom Cruise has been playing the role of super-spy Ethan Hunt in the Mission: Impossible since all the way back in 1996. With over two decades of crazy stunts and epic action scenes, there have also been some weird decisions made by the filmmakers. What was up with all the slow motion and doves in mission impossible 2? Why did they bring Jeremy Renner on board? What's up with Henry Cavill reloading his arms?

Episode 45 - Man Of Steel Pitch Meeting
First Aired: July. 28,2018

After Man Of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice led the DCEU down a super serious and gritty path, Warner Bros has been looking to mix things up a bit with a lighter Justice League, a charming Wonder Woman and the upcoming Aquaman and Shazam movies. But why did the DC Extended Universe head down such a dark path in the first place. Were they really trying to capture the essence of The Dark Knight but with a much more colorful character? What’s up with all the strange decisions that the Kryptonians, Pa Kent and Superman himself make?

Episode 44 - Guardians of the Galaxy Pitch Meeting
First Aired: July. 25,2018

James Gunn and Guardians of the Galaxy might be in the headlines these days for very different reasons, but just a few years ago they were introduced to the world and helped turn Chris Pratt into a global phenomenon. People instantly fell in love with Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord as well as Gamora, Drax, Rocket and of course Groot. Although we all know and love these Marvel characters now, can you imagine how weird it must have been to actually pitch the first movie? A talking tree that just says his own name? A foul-mouthed gun-toting racoon?

Episode 43 - The Dark Knight Pitch Meeting
First Aired: July. 21,2018

It’s been 10 years since The Dark Knight hit theaters and Heath Ledger blew everyone away with his portrayal of The Joker. Christian Bale’s Batman growl has now become iconic, as have many other moments from Christopher Nolan’s hit film that changed the superhero genre forever. But what about the sillier moments of The Dark Knight? How were both Bruce Wayne and Rachel Dawes totally fine after being thrown from a high-rise building? What’s up with Harvey Dent AKA Two-Face not being able to recognize The Joker just because his mouth was covered?

Episode 41 - The Big Bang Theory Pitch Meeting
First Aired: July. 14,2018

After more than a decade on TV, The Big Bang Theory is still one of the most popular comedies in the world. Week after week, people tune in to see the nerdy and QUIRKY antics of Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard, coupled up with the funny reactions of Penny, Bernadette and Amy. But is the show actually smart, or is it just pretending to be? What are we actually supposed to be laughing at? What’s up with that insane laugh track?

Episode 40 - Game of Thrones Pitch Meeting
First Aired: July. 11,2018

Game of Thrones on HBO is one of the most popular shows in television history based on the massively successful book series A Song of Ice And Fire by George RR Martin. Fans can't wait to see what lies in store for Season 8-- will Jon and Danearys realize that they're related? Will someone finally take down Cersei? How much damage is the Night King going to inflict with that ice dragon. Despite the shows popularity though it's not without its flaws. Especially in recent seasons the show has gone off the rails a little bit-- and we'd like to think that could be traced back to the pitch meeting for that stated it all!

Episode 39 - Ant-Man and the Wasp Pitch Meeting
First Aired: July. 07,2018

Ant-Man and the Wasp is Marvel’s first film to come out after the insanity that was Avengers: Infinity War just a few months ago. Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena and Michael Douglas provide us with some pretty hilarious moments and action scenes in this sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man… just don’t think about it too much. The quantum realm is the latest plot tool that Marvel is throwing our way after the magical Vibranium in Black Panther and the millions of timelines in Infinity War. How did this movie come to be exactly? Step inside the pitch meeting that started it all.

Episode 38 - Chris Pratt Pitch Meeting
First Aired: July. 04,2018

What if you had to explain the success of Chris Pratt to someone who had never heard of him? The superstar has had a pretty great career, but before stepping into the MCU as Star Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy films and the Avengers, he actually spent a whole lot of time playing lovable dummies on TV -- not to mention living in a van in Hawaii. Check out his agent describing everything the actor has done and his massive weight gains and losses throughout the years. Will the movie executive cast him in something new? It WOULD be super easy, barely an inconvenience if he did!

Episode 37 - The Incredibles 2 Pitch Meeting
First Aired: June. 30,2018

After 14 years, an Incredibles sequel is finally here. It was great to catch up with Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Dash, Violet, Frozone and especially Jack Jack. Incredibles 2 had some amazing action, incredible VFX and some pretty hilarious moments. But since this is Hollywood and nothing is perfect, there were also a couple of things about it that didn’t make too much sense. Like what was up with Winston and Elevyn Deavor? How come the movie had pretty much the same premise as the first one? Why did they just re-do Violet’s arc from the first movie, and what’s up with Dash and buttons? Let’s step inside the pitch meeting that started it all!

Episode 36 - Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Pitch Meeting
First Aired: June. 27,2018

Jurassic World was a massive box office hit in 2016, so naturally we now have a sequel. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom sees Chris Pratt and his character Animal-Loving-Navy-Guy reunite with Bryce Dallas Howard’s Money-Lady (who is now Dinosaur Loving Lady, because reasons) They head back to Isla Nubar to save the dinos from a giant volcano that’s about to erupt. Kind of a big oversight for John Hammond to have built Jurassic Park on a volcano, but whatever! There are a lot of plot holes and questionable decisions into Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom - and we’d like to think they all originated from the pitch meeting itself! So step inside the pitch meeting that led to the latest installment in the Jurassic Park franchise.

Episode 35 - Harry Potter Movie Franchise Pitch Meeting
First Aired: June. 23,2018

Harry Potter is one of the most beloved franchises of all time, based on one of the most beloved book series of all time. The world of wizardry is pretty insane when you take a step back and try to explain it, and that’s exactly what (probably) happened during the pitch meeting to Warner Bros. What’s up with Quidditch? The Time Turner? Why do students get sent into the FORBIDDEN Forest? Why is everything so dangerous, and why does Voldemort suck at planning? Step inside the pitch meeting that started it all.

Episode 34 - The Walking Dead Pitch Meeting
First Aired: June. 20,2018

The Walking Dead is one of the most popular shows in television history, but despite cool characters like Rick, Carl, Daryl and Michonne, as well as a bunch of awesome zombies (sorry, walkers!) the show has started to struggle. Some fans are getting tired of the repetitive storylines, the constant mid-season and end-of-season cliffhangers--- and this whole mess with Negan just isn’t as satisfying as some earlier seasons. But what if all of that was by design? Step inside the offices of AMC for the pitch meeting that started it all!

Episode 33 - The Lego Movie Pitch Meeting
First Aired: June. 16,2018

How did The Lego Movie come to be, let alone become a critically acclaimed hit? Is the entire movie just one big commercial and product placement? You bet it is! Step inside the pitch meeting that started it all, and launched the entire LEGO movie universe-- securing some voice acting work for Chris Pratt, Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman for years to come!

Episode 32 - Sausage Party Pitch Meeting
First Aired: June. 13,2018

Ever wonder how Seth Rogen’s insane animated comedy Sausage Party came to be? How was an R-Rated movie about talking sausages and food items approved by Hollywood. What are the two kinds of jokes that Rogen decided to go with? What’s up with the Great Beyond-- what is it a metaphor for? Why did they allow food to be ruined for us for eternity? Step inside the pitch meeting that started it all!

Episode 31 - Jurassic Park Pitch Meeting
First Aired: June. 09,2018

Ever wonder how Jurassic Park came to be? What was up with John Hammond being the worst person in the world. Or with the sudden 50 foot drop in the T-Rex enclosure-- or the super easy barely an inconvenience arrival of the ninja T-Rex to save the day from a group of raptors? Step inside the pitch meeting that led to multiple sequels and a new reboot ‘Jurassic World’ starring Chris Pratt!

Episode 30 - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Pitch Meeting
First Aired: June. 06,2018

Smelling what The Rock is cooking is TIGHT! Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of the biggest movie stars working today (quite literally.) But what if somebody had never heard of him? How would you pitch him and describe his career? Would you mentioned that he’s done kind of a lot of JUNGLE movies (Jumanji, The Rundown, Journey 2) or movies where buildings fall (Skyscraper, San Andreas) -- or maybe movies where jungle animals make buildings fall (Rampage)? What about his similar kids movies, or his movies with Kevin Hart? Step inside a pitch meeting where an agent tries to pitch Dwayne Johnson to a studio exec from Disney!
