LAP successfully prosecuted KW AN for his income was not equivalent to his position and was sentenced to 5 years' imprisonment. KONG and CHOI bribed LAP on behalf of their client. Three of them go with the stream and were being watched closely by FAT and YING. FAT discovered that LAP had deposited six million and four hundred thousand dollars into his mother's Singapore account while KONG had three hundred thousand US dollars in two different accounts. Consequently, the court allowed ICAC to detain LAP's passport. LAP failed to have his passport back and fled away. FAT then notified the Interpol to issue an arrest warrant. ICAC was informed that LAP was hiding in Manila and ordered YING to send him back for sentence ....
A mysterious man used police no. 80343 to forward the application form to MUI to take away evidence. Mill gave him a camera bag. NGAU received the bag from that mysterious man which was full of heroin. He rewarded him with three hundred thousand dollars. The police superintendent failed to interrogate police no. 80343 and suspected that there might be undercover. Therefore, he ordered SIR WONG and SIR CHEUNG from ICAC to investigate. SIR CHEUNG recognized that police 80343 had discovered NGAU of drug traffic and planned to take the evidence before going to court. However, someone had done before him. NGAU received a call and gave two hundred thousands dollars to a man who in fact was Sergeant SUN. NGAU was brought back by ICAC and being suspected of bribing policeman for taking evidence .
Urban Councillor TSUN and his wife happened to meet the retired principal CHEUNG when they enjoyed the instrumental performance of their daughter SHAN. Meanwhile, another Legislative Councillor KUNG arrived and received warm welcome which TSUN desired. TSUN's project was being taken away by Legislative Councillor KWAN and he was blamed by the neighbours for the problem of deserted land. Therefore, he made up his mind to participate in the election of Legislative Councillor. CHEUNG advised TSUN to spend money of providing benefit to District Board members CHUNG, KIT and CHAU for striving more votes. He also bribed CHEUNG with an expensive car. All these things had been recorded by ICAC. As a result, TSUN had won the election. However, ICAC had got enough evidence to arrest him .
HAN reported to ICAC that somebody tried to bribe her and thought there might be corruption in the department. After preliminary investigation, ICAC suspected HAN's colleague YIU and the architectural assistant PAN. CHING was sent to be the undercover agent. In the ferry, HAN met CHIU and they fell in love at the first sight. CHING pretended to have owned a great amount of debt and needed money urgently. She got the trust from YIU and YUEN and had forty thousand dollars at the first time. YAM asked YING to record the bank deposit receipt. YAM requested the TELA management to transfer CHING to another post where she had a larger scope of authorization. Then CHING demanded an increase in the bribes so as to force HUNG to come out and bargain. ICAC prepared well so as to get enough evidence to arrest HUNG. And CHING went to Cheung Chau to arrest the group leader CHIU.
The police had detected a China-Hongkong armed robbery. They suspected PANG was in league with the staff of the Customs and asked ICAC to investigate. TIN sent AU and STEVE to follow PANG and discovered that he was handling the stolen cars business. PANG bribed NAM to let his lorry which carried expensive cars to pass the Customs at Man Kam Road into the Mainland. CHEUK lost several hundred thousands in speculation. He was bought over by PANG and promised to join their smuggling activities. ICAC investigated that PANG and CHEUK were using the paging code to communicate. After detailed analysis, they got the lorry's license number plates and the working schedule. ICAC and the police set up everything in order to defeat this overland smuggling group
