The Ultimate Braai Master Season 1 Full Episode Guide
The final three teams compete in Sun City for the grand prize. The final challenge is a full eight hours of unexpected twist & turns in front of their fires, and the winners are named the Ultimate Braai Master!
The BBQ teams travel from Cape Town to the Felix Unite River Camp on the Orange River where they must paddle downstream to their first challenge: a three course Braai of their choice before sunset.
The teams travel to the Maluti Mountains in the Golden Gate National Park while the teams that didn't gain immunity are split into two groups for the challenge. They must make two goat potjies & lamb and chicken skewers "sosaties" for 35 guests.
The Rawdons Hotel in the Natal Midlands hosts the tenth challenge. The midlands are known for fly-fishing, cattle & the best pub grub in the country. Each team must BBQ a pub meal for 25 people. The winning team gets immunity for the next challenge.
With only six teams remaining, the Ultimate Braai Master travels to Kwa-Zulu Natal where the contestants have to complete a scavenger hunt through the Markets of Durban. The resulting Elimination challenge is one of the most challenging yet.
Eight remaining teams travel to a Transkei village to learn to forage. After enjoying a night of partying they must BBQ a traditional village feast. The elimination challenge finds the bottom teams recreating the judge's seafood dish in 30 minutes.
The perfect campsite BBQ is the challenge as soon as the teams arrive to Morgan Bay, known for the best campsites. With no time to rest, the elimination challenge happens on the car engine blocks as the teams travel to their next destination.
After traveling to Cape St. Francis, the teams spend all day fishing for squid. After sunset, the teams need to recreate their Calamari & Chips lunch on the BBQ. The next day, the three bottom teams make burgers for their elimination challenge.
The teams travel to Matjiesfontein, a small Karoo town to butcher & BBQ a full lamb for 50 dinner guests. Rain complicates things & the teams are sent immediately into their elimination challenge: the perfect lamb chop.
The Hout Bay Harbor, one of the richest fishing grounds in South Africa, is where the remaining eleven teams try hand line fishing & Snoek BBQ. The elimination challenge takes a dramatic turn in front of the Wall of Fire in Mzolis, Gugulethu.
Twelve teams remain as they move to Cape Town's Table Bay Hotel for the next challenge. The contestants are split into three groups to recreate Executive Chef Dallas Orr's intricate 5-star dinner menu on the BBQ for special gusts of the hotel.
The fourteen remaining BBQ teams travel to Lambert's Bay where they enjoy a gourmet West Coast lunch. Their challenge for the day then becomes to recreate the lunch in only two hours on the Braai!
