J.R. works out that Holly's desire to pay him in installments is because of Bobby. Pam wants a divorce. Aunt Lil believes that it could have been better had Mickey died in the accident. Clayton wants Miss Ellie to travel with him. A fire breaks out at Southfork after Ray and J.R. fight.
Mickey is left comatose following the car crash. Bobby blames Holly and Clayton blames J.R. for Sue Ellen starting to drink again. Lucy blames Sue Ellen for what has happened to Mickey. J.R. offers Holly the chance to buy him out of her company. Mark wants a commitment from Pam.
J.R.'s infidelity sees Sue Ellen beginning to drink again. Miss Ellie wants to know if Clayton has feelings towards Sue Ellen. Pam returns from France wanting to know what is going on between Bobby and Katherine. Cliff still refuses to allow Bobby to have the needed drill bit he requires.
After having arrived in Cuba, J.R. attempts to get his $40 million back. Katherine confronts Cliff about the drill bit Bobby requires. Miss Ellie quizzes Clayton about his relationship with Sue Ellen. Ray informs Aunt Lil that Jock was his real father and not Amos. Things heat up between Mark and Pam.
J.R. has to go to Cuba to get his money back. Katherine takes advantage of Mark and Pam's French holiday to make a move on Bobby. Aunt Lil shows up to see Mickey.
J.R. attempts to gain permission to travel to Cuba. Holly wants to hurt J.R. and Sue Ellen's marriage. Lucy starts to model again. Weather ends up threatening to hurt Bobby's Canadian venture. Ray offers his assistance in the fight for Ewing Oil.
Bobby and Ray are able to stop J.R.'s Cuban oil deal/ Walt and Holly vow to get revenge. Bobby warns Mark away from Pam. Mickey and Lucy kiss. Katherine wants to help J.R. in his fight against Cliff.
Bobby and Ray attempt to stop J.R.'s deal to ship oil to Cuba. Sue Ellen is concerned that her personal life could ruin J.R.'s chances if he enters politics. Donna believes that greed is motivating Mickey's interest in Lucy. Cliff rebounds from his mother's death.
Katherine plots to make sure that Bobby sees Pam with Mark Graison. Holly isn't happy about J.R.'s Caribbean oil dealings. Clayton sells the Southern Cross and moves closer to Miss Ellie.
After Pam leaves Southfork it gives J.R. an opportunity to alienate her more from Bobby. Rebecca's will is read following her death. Lucy and Mickey continue to grow closer. J.R. makes a deal in the Caribbean. Clayton admits that he's dating Miss Ellie.
Rebecca fights for her life following the plane crash as Cliff and Pam pray for her recovery. The TEC have a rethink concerning J.R.'s drilling variance
Bobby attempts to blackmail Hicks into stopping J.R. J.R. is concerned that Clayton will undermine his standing with Miss Ellie. Mickey and Lucy start to grow closer.
Cliff wants J.R. to run for office and be out of the oil business. Mark maintains an interest in Pam. Miss Ellie take a holiday in Galveston. Bobby thinks that J.R. has the TEC in his back pocket.
The battle over Jock's will ends up in court. J.R. wants to use Mark Graison to cause problems between Pam and Bobby.
Miss Ellie feels conflicted about contesting Jock's will. Pam meets Mark Graison. Donna thinks about leaving the TEC. Holly wants to end her partnership with J.R.
Bobby and J.R. are not happy about Miss Ellie's decision to contest Jock's will. Afton attempts to get a commiment out of Cliff/ J.R.'s cheap gasoline ends up making the headlines.
J.R is confronted by Cliff and the Cartel at the annual Ewing barbecue. Miss Ellie decides that she needs to take action against the effects Jock's will is having on the family.
Cliff fights with J.R. - Donna is concerned that being on the TEC will cause more family problems. Bobby believes that J.R. is involved in illegal oil sales.
It is the day of J.R. and Sue Ellen's wedding. Ray doesn't want Mickey becoming involved with Lucy. The Cartel wants J.R. to stop over-producing crude oil. Donna comes a decision about serving on the Texas Energy Commission.
Afton and Sue Ellen attempt to help their men gain a lucrative refinery contract. J.R. isn't happy about aeeing Miss Ellie socializing with men. Pam attempts to convince Bobby to end the contest for Ewing Oil.
J.R. manages to get a drilling variance and competes with Bobby. Christopher's adoption is finally finalized. Cliff feels Pam should help his company. Mickey continues to infuriate Ray.
Cliff takes over Barnes-Wentworth leaving Pam feeling more torn than ever between the Barnes and Ewing families. J.R. goes to great lengths to gain a drilling variance. Lucy goes ahead with her divorce. Ray is not happy with Mickey's behavior.
J.R. and Bobby start the contest to try and gain control of Ewing Oil. A plot to gain revenge sees Rebecca buying an oil company.
Jock's will ends up revealing the future fate of Ewing Oil. Ray asks Mickey to come stay at Southfork. Pam thinks that Lucy needs to get back to work. J.R. and Sue Ellen decide the date to get remarried.
J.R. is still running Harwood Oil and hopes that the Jock Ewing Scholarship will lead to him being declared officially dead. Dusty wants to know if he and Sue Ellen could have a future togther. Ray and Donna go to Amos' funeral.
J.R. wants to have Jock's will executed and has the IRS pay a visit to Bobby. Lucy deals with her pregnancy. Miss Ellie decides to go to the Oil Barons Ball. Ray is told about Amos' death.
J.R. attempts to get an early look at Jock's will. Lucy reveals the truth to Pam. Sue Ellen thinks about if she really wants to marry J.R. Marilee Stone offers Cliff a job. Ray learns about Amos Krebbs' health problems.
J.R. looses his position as Ewing Oil president and discovers that he's not Christopher's father. A comatose Cliff fights for his life. Lucy awaits to find out if she is pregnant. Holly Harwood meets Bobby and ends up making J.R. an interesting offer.
