A look back at some of the highlights of the series as viewers decide whether to crown Barry or Adele their winner.
As the competition draws to a close and Hell's Kitchen has its final two contestants, we revisit their first day and the sacked contestants return to talk about their experience under the tutelage of Marco Pierre White. Marco's master class has a lobster cocktail on the menu, Adele's family visits Hell's Kitchen and the two finalists review their former teammates.
The day begins with private meetings between Marco and the remaining four contestants to discuss their progress so far in the kitchen. Chef Marco then teaches the brigade a master class in how to prepare scallop and salmon with ... ketchup vinaigrette!
The contestants start off their day with a master class in liver and the evening's service finds a familiar face walking through the doors as Season 1 contestant Abi Titmuss visits for dinner which excites the boys in the kitchen.
Marco tests the girls again as he teaches a master class in how to prepare partridge. A few customers test Marco's patience by visiting the pass and maitre d' Nick Munier tells them to either enjoy their food or leave the restaurant, causing their dining companions to try their luck at the pass with Marco.
The contestants arrive in the kitchen early as news of a surprise has them hopeful. A surprise is definitely in store as the Marco begins the day by telling the contestants they have the day off... kidding! Marco reveals he really would tease the contestants like that and that the surprise is a new menu! The brigade struggles with the new menu during service and another contestant is voted off.
Jim's issues with the rest of the brigade are explored, Marco teaches the contestants how to prepare lobster, and Marco irritates more than a few customers during service.
Contestants getting squeamish over preparing pigeons, the contestants families offer up their opinions of their loved ones in the competition so far, Chef Marco hunts a deer to prepare in front of the brigade, and that's just the first half of the show! An irritated Marco has customers thrown out of the restaurant during service and the stressful evening comes to a head when one of the contestants makes a hasty exit.
Marco begins the day by asking the chefs to prepare him breakfast. After being given onions, mushrooms, eggs and steaks to create a morning feast for Marco, he samples all of the breakfasts then teaches his daily master class with everyone's favorite, steak. There's a mix up in the kitchen later on in the show and the brigade is frazzled as the chefs must rely on teamwork to finish the evening's service.
As Jim struggles and decides he doesn't belong in the house or the kitchen, Marco and the rest of the brigade attempt to talk Jim down from the proverbial ledge. Meanwhile, Chef Marco teaches the contestants how to make his favorite fish, turbot, and the Red Kitchen's pastry station experiences a personnel change.
Confrontation remains a theme in Hell's Kitchen as Jim finds a new sparring partner in Brian. Barry tries an oyster cocktail for the first time as Chef Marco introduces the day with a master class in oysters.
