The Soul Man Season 5 Full Episode Guide
Boyce seeks an endorsement from Dr. Zagelman, but needs to get him to withdraw from the race to do so. Barton helps Stamps make a big decision and Alicia and Lolli realize Boyce has a chance to win.
Boyce tries to end the garbage strike, Alicia makes a surprising offer for Stamps, and Barton stretches himself too thin.
Mayor Saxby interferes with the Ballentines' lives as he takes away Barton's Bingo permit.
Mayor Saxby undercuts Boyce during a debate and Boyce wonders if he should do the same to him. Lolli briefly befriends the mayor's wife.
Old neighbors crash a family evening that celebrates Boyce's first campaign commercial. Also: the family find out about the relationship between Stamps and Alicia.
Lolli gets kicked off a wine train and makes Boyce have her back while Stamps helps Alicia cope with campaign stress.
Alicia sets up a donor for Boyce and Lolli to help their fundraising efforts, but problems arise when Boyce spots a Confederate flag in the donor's house. Also: Stamps tries to prove his silver tongue can be an asset.
Lolli and Stamps leave out Alicia when they create a Super PAC to fund Boyce's campaign, but she must bail them out following a poorly planned casino event.
Alicia reveals campaign damaging skeletons in the closet; Boyce must decide whether to fire a member of his church staff. Lolli tracks down leaked photos of her.
To avoid being part of the political machine, Boyce allows his family to run his campaign but must fire them and hire a professional following a series of failed events.
After uncovering larger issues within city government, Boyce enters the mayoral race. Lolli worries that glasses will ruin her relationship.
