In this one-hour special, Guy's cruising the Lone Star State for a big bite of Texas-style Triple D. From gumbo to Greek, pizza to burgers and tasty twists from Dallas to Houston. We're reuniting with some familiar faces along the way, cooking killer chicken casserole with Matthew McConaughey and chowing down with football legend Earl Campbell. Plus, we're opening the vault to head back to a classic from the first DDD episode ever.
Nora's Fish Creek Inn (Wilson, Wyo.) • Tavern on 2 (Long Beach, Calif.) • The Wild Plum Café & Bakery (Monterey, Calif.). This trip, Guy's getting a taste of every meal from dawn to dusk. Just west of Jackson Hole, there's the Wilson, Wyoming log cabin-turned-restaurant cookin' up a banana bread French toast mash-up and classic beef stroganoff. In the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach, the hidden-gem gastropub marryin' pork belly with octopus and servin' up slam-dunk short ribs. And in Monterey, the Old Town neighborhood spot keepin' it local, sustainable, and scratch-made with apple pancakes, three-pork porchetta, and more.
Pèpe's Little Napoli (Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif.) • Pica's Mexican Taqueria (Jackson, Wyo.) • The Factory Gastrobar (Long Beach, Calif.). This trip, Guy's hitting up all kinds of killer joints, from classic Italian to modern Americana. In Carmel, a Cooking Channel host is along for the ride at an authentic Italian joint dishin' out tri-color cannelloni and fresh seafood cioppino. In Wyoming, a California chef brings his brand of legit Mexican to the mountains, like savory chicken sopes and one of Guy's favorite dishes, pozole. And in Long Beach, it's a Bixby Knolls neighborhood spot where a chef with artistic flair is servin' up some of her signature veggie sammies.

This trip, Guy's hittin' up some spots serving comfort food kicked up a notch. In Wyoming, it's a pizza joint slicin' up mouthwatering pies topped with everything from pesto and chicken to spicy sausage and marinara. In the Belmont Heights neighborhood of Long Beach, there's the old-school diner with a new-school chef cookin' up home-style favorites like pot roast. And in Monterey, Guy's visitin' the brewhouse crankin' out big-time bar food like Parmesan pretzels and short rib grilled cheese.
Sidewinders American Grill & Tavern (Jackson, Wyo.) • Rosine's Restaurant (Monterey, Calif.) • Blunch (Boston, Mass.) This trip, Guy's checkin' out all kinds of funky foods from coast to coast. In Wyoming, it's a spot where an ex-Marine's bringin' Americana to town with dishes like chicken pot pie and homemade soups and pretzels. In Monterey, there's the second-generation Italian joint servin' mom's time-tested recipes like meaty lasagna and real-deal minestrone. And in Boston, Guy hits a funky little sandwich shop pressin' panini to satisfy both meat and veggie lovers.
This trip, Guy's cruisin' the west coast for a taste of California. In Culver City, Gene Simmons from Kiss makes a surprise visit to the neighborhood hangout dishing out real deal Hawaiian. Nearby in Garden Grove, the family-run Mexican joint serving up standout tamales and traditional beef chamorro. And up the coast in Monterey, the funky fish house grillin' up fresh-caught oysters and a full-flavored pasta-seafood medley.
